The internet is chock full of informative customizing articles and FAQs. The following are but a sample...

Action Figure Factory A great FAQ geared towards "Learning how to customize." Most entries contain pictures, so beginners can actually see what some of these tools look like.

Arkenyon's Custom Action Figures Some of the best customizing articles on the 'net, including the ever popular "Adding Articulation."

Battlehammer Creations Bruenor is a master with the pen. If brushes aren't your thing, check out how Bruenor can help you.

Custom Action Figures by Jeremy Sung Check out his FAQs, especially the one about plastics. Some important information all customizers should be familiar with.

FFURG The Forgotten Force Ultimate Resource Guide. Anyone who creates Star Wars figures knows this site. They've got more articles than you can shake a lightsaber at. The information is wide ranging, and applies to customs of all types, not just Star Wars.

Hauke Sheer's Doomworld Hauke not only makes custom figures, he makes custom figures of original characters entirely from scratch. Check out his tutorials (some of which are animated) for some amazing techniques.

Inanimate Objects A broad and well written FAQ with photos (recently updated!). Excellent for those just getting started and want to know what they need to hack into that first figure.

Chris Marsh discusses creating a vac-metal effect on plastic. Lots of great comparisons.

Sarlacc Pit Custom Figures Tony Colucci's site features some great articles on dry brushing, sculpting realistic hair, and even a downloadable video about molding and casting! (One of the best mold-making explanations I've see.)

Jin Saotome's Dangerous Toys Jin offers a number of detailed articles from the basics of tools and painting, to step-by-step tutorials on making particular characters.

Uncanny XMEn.net hosts some general articles about customizing, using specific characters as examples.
