Trevor Fitzroy

Year of release: 1994
Figure Number: 49360
Accessories: Removable Armor (4 pieces)
Action Feature: Futuristic Crystal Battle Armor

Comments: Other peg warmer from this series. Not many redeeming features here. The lalk of an internal action feature is a plus in my book. However, the general figure-buying public stayed away from this figure in droves. Even today, it can still be found in many retail outlets at clearance prices.

Interestingly enough, this low-interest figure showed up in two other packages. The first was a variant found in the FAO Schwarz X-Men 4-pack that included repaints of Cable I, Deadpool I (from X-Force) and Forge (from X-Men). Fitzroy was repainted in a purple suit (where the original had been blue). The figures came in a plain brown cardboard box, sealed in plastic baggies.

The second appearance of Fitzroy came appropriately in a KayBee two pack with the Missing Maverick figure. As previously noted, Maverick was slated for release with this series but was held back for this KayBee exclusive two-pack. This gold version of Maverick was never released on a single card. Instead, a blue repaint was issued with the Mutant Genesis series in 1995. The Fitzroy that was issued in the KayBee two-pack was almost identical to the original release figure. The only difference is the painting of the stripe on his uniform which was gold instead of the original yellow. In addition, the two-pack came with a small, gold PVC figure of Wolverine II (a la the Metal Mutants Series).
