DC Universe musings...

...I was trying to explain to a friend, who after inspecting my cluttered shelves, asked innocently, "Why doesn't Marvel have a line of figures as good as DC Universe Classics?" A question a child might ask, but not a childish question... Wink

Recently I've been trying to pick up some $10 cheapo DCUs I would have never paid full-price for...like that GL Manhunter, Cyclotron, Bronze Tiger, that Crime Syndicate boxset, etc. I'm going to miss these great silver age classics. How I wish the Four Horsemen had been hired to sculpt Kirby's Marvel portfolio into 3D...

I've also delved into some of those subscription items...
Metron: Jack would have smiled. The chair steals the show; too bad they couldn't have rigged some leds or glowing bits.

Nevermore's looking to take another shot at getting those cryptozoology figures made

.

I'd love to see them succeed this time, but I think they've shot themselves in the foot by making their kickstarter campaign so brief for the amount of money they're trying to raise.

Days of Future Past Wolverine figure question

I was thinking about getting a wolverine for my collection, I was hoping a 3 3/4 version would be made but there had not been one made (hoping Hasbro makes a comic book version will be made because there is a new Xmen movie, and hoping that will give way to Future Wolvie figure.

Anyway I found out there is a Diamond Exclusive with fiture wolvie with kitty pryde and a base, and there is a Marvel Legends version. So do these figures have any joint issues? Anyone of these twos have any issues with joints? Which one would you suggest if you could only buy one, or if you have one in your collection. just curious about the buzzer feedback with these two figures

Toys R Us no longer price-matching their website.

Stopped off at my local store today and picked up the DC 2 pack with Yellow Hal and Blue Kyle. The price went up to $37.99 from $34.99. I told them that online it's $32.99(used to be $29.99) and so the cashier adjusted the price to $32.99. I used a $5 off coupon to lessen the sting. She then said that price-matching will be going bye-bye. The store manager was there and he also said the same thing. So do they really want to go down this road and shun their customers?

Timeline for the new Outer Space Men waves?

Has anyone heard anything on potential release dates for the Infinity Editions of the new Outer Space Men waves (Orbitron, Gemini, and Cyclops)? The forums over on the 4H site got shut down a couple weeks ago.

I know the Holiday Editions are out, but I'm really just collecting the full-color ones.
