Generations Sandstorm

I probably should have continued this in the Springer thread since they're so close in mold. I was surprised to find one at TRU so quickly in the North East, just 2 days after a CA sighting. I haven't transformed him yet but I noticed his heels are tightened up compared to my Springer. Springer had slightly annoying floppy heels, lol. I'm not sure if that was a common problem.

Anyone know where to get Pacific Rim figures on the cheap?

Not super cheap, I just don't want to be killed with shipping prices. LCS has nothing. Anyone seen these at TRU? Evilbay has them for decent prices so I'm guessing retail is 14.99 like the Lone Ranger at TRU.

Do bad (or no) action figure lines make you less inclined to see a movie?

Arguably the latest iron man 3 and superman lines have been pretty pathetic and I haven't heard good things about either movie. The latest Star Trek movie was a yawnfest with no action figure line. Does the lack of line show less faith in the movie product on the part of the producers?

Discsuss.

Reveal of SDCC Man of Steel Movie Masters exclusive

Wasn't this supposed to happen somewhere today?

Marvel Select Rhino question...

I finally bought this guy the other day and was a little disappointed to see some of his leg articulation that was pictured on the back removed from the final product. I guess I just want to check with other MS collectors to see if maybe I bought a defective Rhino.

Thanks!

Gentle Giant - Game of Thrones Busts

Looks like someone broke the story for GG.... they are probably holding back the announcement for SDCC....

First bust appears to be the White Walker Bust.

Armored General Zod & Faora (Keep an eye on Amazon)

Let me preface this by saying that they're out (Amazon proper, not the sellers) as of last night, but when I was going to check an open order, they appeared in one of those "Recommended for you" ads on the site. I added Faora to the cart first (only 3 were left), and by the time I added Armored Zod, Faora was taken out of my cart. Went ahead and completed the order anyway and hit the refresh button on the product page and she showed up again so I was able to order her. So, $15.99 and free shipping, not bad.

Here are the links, be sure to check the more buying options box, for some reason Amazon :
Armored Zod
Faora

At the time of my order, I think it was close to 11pm, they had 19 Armored Zods, and 3 Faoras. By the time my order went through, they were all gone. Shock

Haven't bought the plain Supes, so now I just need Supes w/Kryptonian Key to finish (well, pending black suit Supes' release anyway).

Thank goodness I don't have to drive around for these anymore.

Think Dark Horse will show off Game Of Thrones action figures at SDCC?

I read they said they didn't want to show them off until they were perfect but I am getting tired of waiting to see them. lol

Researching Animalbot toy

Greetings everyone,

I came across this robot action figure toy in a thrift store which I haven't seen previously. Which is not unusual but I am unable to find any reference to it on the web. I don't know if it is a knockoff, limited edition because it was unpopular or made for kids in another country.

Name on box: Animalbot
Made in Taiwan
Made for Lillian Vernon
Year: 1993
Description: On box cover reads
"3 In One ANIMALBOT.
WE'VE GOT A POWER TRAIN. GO, BRAVE EXPRESS"
Shows a Leopard, Eagle and Dino action figure which transform into a train and they can also be combined to make a bigger Voltron like bot.

Thanks in advance if anyone knows about this.

Transformers Generations Springer is pretty cool.

Have to say I was really sceptical about Springer, but this is one solid figure, maybe even the best of the current Generations line. Bot mode is well proportioned, has a ton of useful articulation and ROM, and very little kibble. His gun has a pivot in it so you can angle it in car mode. His sword has a fairly complex transformation that locks the handle (which spins) and looks functional in both forms.

Car mode is cool with all of the obvious helicopter parts hidden inside (including the sword which tucks underneath. Only real downside is the windows don't like to snap in completely, but the slight gap isn't completely distracting. Helicopter mode isn't as good, could really use a more obvious tail rotor, but it's not terrible, passes well for cybertronian. His feet are kinda loose so they flop around a bit in the back. Snapping the gun to the front is a little tricky, but looks better than the default front landing gear that folds up inside.

All in all it's an extremely satisfying figure for the price. Too bad I've heard Blitzwing is pretty shoddy, but I'll be getting Sandstorm for sure.
