Hello all,

I am a new user and Ive been collecting action figures for a few years now and collect a variety of types. I mostly collect video game based figures but i do have many that represent my other interests. I'm here today however because I have one particular guy whom Im having a hard time putting a value on. This figure in question is:

Diablo 2: Diablo by Epic Action Figures

The interesting thing about this piece is he is packaged incorrectly and was placed on the Barbarian package. Im only really asking for a roundabout estimate or really any information at all about packaging errors involving this piece. Thank you for reading and your time.

Packaging errors happen from time to time and are generally worthless over the normal value of a figure. There may be a very few collectors who care about these, but in general a packaging error adds no value at all.

There are no statistics for the number of packaging errors available and action figure collectors are in it for the figure, not the packaging. So these errors don't make it especially desirable.

The value of the Diablo figure is around $20. You might get a little more (unlikely more than $35) and you might get a little less, but that is a good estimate. The packaging error doesn't make it any more valuable than one in the correct package.

I'm not an expert on Diablo II figures, but my guess is that a packaging error won't increase the value of the figure. If anything, it might decrease the value because it's not a "perfectly carded" figure. Sure, the figure you have is rare, but it's probably not ideal. For me, if I were to buy a MOC figure then I'd prefer to have the correct packaging. That particular Diablo figure (MOC) sells between $10-$35 on eBay.
