August 2007 Hasbro GI Joe Q&A

August 2007 - Every other month, Hasbro will answer five questions about their GI Joe products. Here are the questions and answers for this month:

1. 5 packs and singles - Are these packaging methods going to continue throughout the line, or were these just to "kick off" the 25th Anniversary series?

Answer: The 5 packs are a special item to kickoff the anniversary and the single packs will continue into 2008.

2. For the 25th anniversary figures, are we going to see a reduction in anime stylized faces such as Duke and Scarlett and see more of an emphasis on more realisticly sculpted faces such as Flint and many of the "hooded" heads?

Answer: Yes. I think you are already seeing the two very distinctive styles of Sigma 6 versus the 25th anniversary.

3. Will there be any mail-away exclusive figures for the 25th Anniversary line?

Answer: Yes. The mail away figure will be announced at the 2008 GI Joe convention.

4. Are GI Joe Galactic Hero-esque figures on the way?

Answer: There are no plans for this line right now.

5. Will the Piper figure use parts from the original A Real American Hero line or the new 25th anniversary stuff?

Answer: Rowdy Roddy Piper will be at the GI Joe Convention this year and will be inducted into either the GI Joe or Cobra team. The figure will be in the classic 80's style.
