DC Direct Batgirl & Mary Variants

March 29, 2007 - DC Direct has clarified how to get their variant action figures announced in the March 2007 solicitations:
DC DIRECT PRESENTS SHAZAM! ACTION FIGURES
VARIANT EDITION FIGURE AVAILABLE ONLY IN CASE ASSORTMENTS
Coming in November 2007, DC Direct presents the SHAZAM! ACTION FIGURES, featuring classic characters prominently featured in the hit series COUNTDOWN, 52, TRIALS OF SHAZAM and SHAZAM: THE MONSTER SOCIETY OF EVIL!
The line includes SHAZAM!, JUNIOR, DR. SIVANA (WITH MR. MIND) and MARY ACTION FIGURES, as well as the BILLY BATSON AND HOPPY (2-PACK) ACTION FIGURES.
In addition, DC Direct offers a special variant version of the MARY ACTION FIGURE available only in the weighted and balanced half and full case assortments (see below for further details). This variant version presents Mary in her current, white costume.
The SHAZAM! ACTION FIGURES are offered to retailers in the following assortments:
INDIVIDUALLY:
The SHAZAM!, JUNIOR, DR. SIVANA (WITH MR. MIND) and MARY ACTION FIGURES and the BILLY BATSON AND HOPPY (2-PACK) ACTION FIGURES are available individually. The MARY (VARIANT) ACTION FIGURE is not available individually.

DC DIRECT OFFERS QUALIFYING RETAILERS A VARIANT EDITION OF BATGIRL 13" DELUXE COLLECTOR FIGURE
In November, DC Direct will add a second female figure to its line of realistically proportioned, 1:6 scale figures with the BATGIRL 13" DELUXE COLLECTOR FIGURE.
Now, DC Direct offers qualifying retailers a special Variant Edition of this figure. For every four standard BATGIRL 13" DELUXE COLLECTOR FIGURES ordered, retailers may order one BATGIRL 13" DELUXE COLLECTOR FIGURE Variant Edition.
The Standard Figure is clothed in gray fabric costume, while the Variant Figure comes in a black fabric costume. Both costumes are authentically detailed, and both figures come with accessories and a display stand.
The BATGIRL 13" DELUXE COLLECTOR FIGURE (APR070280) and BATGIRL 13" DELUXE COLLECTOR FIGURE Variant Edition (APR070281) are solicited in the April Previews and are scheduled to arrive in stores on November 21, each with a price of $69.99 U.S. This offer is valid only through the Final Order Cutoff date of June 7.
