Dynamite: Terminator Comic Book Series

TERMINATOR WILL "BE BACK" FROM DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT
Dynamite Entertainment to Produce Terminator Comic Book Series

March 20, 2007 Runnemede, NJ - Dynamite Entertainment is proud to announce the signing of an agreement that will allow Dynamite to create a new comic book series featuring the characters and action of Terminator 2: Judgment Day! The new Dynamite series will feature the time traveling cyborgs from the post-apocalyptic future along with the human resistance led by John Connor. The agreement also allows for Dynamite to produce a T2 crossover series featuring The Terminators battling another group of popular mechanical icons.

A sequel to the 1984 box office hit Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day was released on July 3, 1991 and at the time was the most expensive movie ever made. T2 was a box-office smash, the highest grossing film of 1991. Like the first film, T2 was directed by James Cameron and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, with the addition of Edward Furlong as young John Connor, and Robert Patrick as the T-1000 Terminator. T2 takes place ten years after Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) destroyed the original T-800 Terminator that was programmed to go back in time and kill her in order to prevent the birth of her son, John Connor, the leader of the human resistance.

Stated Nick Barrucci, Dynamite's Publisher, "T2 is a going to be a killer addition to our roster of titles. It's tough to find a comic reader who is not a fan of the movies, and we're putting together an all-star creative team to translate that excitement to the comics! We're speaking excitedly about the cross-over option that should happen in later 2007, but there is much more to the story than meets the eye."

The agreement allows Dynamite the use of the Terminator 2: Judgment Day story and characters, including the T-800 Terminator and T-1000 Terminator, including Sarah and John Connor. Details of the story are being kept a closely guarded secret, and Dynamite would only confirm that The Terminator would first appear in the T2 series and then a crossover mini-series will follow. Details of both will be announced soon. Details on the creative team and scheduling for the series will be released in the coming weeks.
