Mattel and Fisher-Price® Toys Bring the Magic of the Holidays to Life

October 3, 2006 -- EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- This holiday season Mattel and Fisher-Price® toys - already topping "must-have holiday lists" everywhere - feature the latest trends, newest technologies and hottest entertainment properties. From the season's hottest new "T.M.X.™" Elmo to a dancing, interactive Barbie® doll and an all new gaming system, Mattel and Fisher-Price® together have a line-up of toys that will give kids of all ages memorable play experiences year-round.

This year, classic toys are more fun than ever before with new twists: Preschoolers can laugh along with Elmo with the new "T.M.X.™" Elmo. Young girls can dance with Barbie™, the world's best-selling doll1 starring in Mattel's sixth princess tale "Barbie™ in The 12 Dancing Princesses." And boys return to the basics with the kid-powered Hot Wheels® Terrordactyl™ track set.

New tech toys round out the holiday wish list, including the newest tech preschool gadgets, Kid-Tough™ FP3™ Player and Kid-Tough™ Digital Camera, I Can Play Piano™ and the latest Pixel Chix™ product in an exciting new world Pixel Chix™ ? 2 Shop™ Mall. Girls can recreate moments from Polly's first-ever feature length movie, PollyWorld™, with the PollyWorld™ Rockin' Theme Park™ playset or play with the interactive Little Mommy™ Play All Day™ doll.

For older kids, technology brings alive the life-like robotic creature N.S.E.C.T.™, tests kids' knowledge through game play with Scene It?® Nickelodeon®, combines card collecting and video games with HyperScan™, a new gaming platform, and provides the ultimate football arena experience with ESPN® Fast Action Football™.

"Barbie™ in The 12 Dancing Princesses" Let's Dance!™ Barbie® Doll: The interactive Let's Dance!™ Barbie® doll is approximately 15-inches-tall and brings the beautiful choreography from the movie to life. Girls and Barbie® doll can dance together in three ways: she can follow girls' dance moves, teach girls new moves via demonstration and speech, or perform for girls. HyperScan™ Game System (2006 Toy Wishes Magazine "All Star"): HyperScan™ is a first-of-its-kind game system that lets players Scan, Battle and Re-scan!™ The hybrid game system is a breakthrough gaming platform that utilizes CD-ROM and RFID technology to bring the best of collector card games and video games together in one easy-to-use, highly customizable system. HyperScan™ combines re-writable Intellicard™ technology with the button-mashing action of video games. Players scan collectible cards over the HyperScan™ console and their favorite characters magically come to life on their television screen.
