Entertainment Earth To Offer Exclusive Oz Figure

mac_ee_oz.jpg - 8979 BytesEntertainment Earth, the leading online retailer of collectible action figures, toys and memorabilia, has scored another notable industry coup by securing the exclusive retail rights - on or off-line - for a unique variation of Moore Action Collectibles, Inc.s forthcoming Oz action figure from the WBs popular "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" series, it was announced today by Entertainment Earth co-founder Jason Labowitz. This marks Entertainment Earth 's second such exclusive retail arrangement following a similar agreement on behalf of the Chiana character from the TV series Farscape.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the Emmy award-winning hit show which chronicles the adventures of Buffy Summers, who protects the little town of Sunnydale from vampires, demons, and the occasional man killing plant, airs on the WB network Tuesday nights at 8pm. Oz, the quick witted teenage werewolf, is played by actor Seth Green, also best known as Scott Evil in "Austin Powers" and "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me." This season, Oz left the town of Sunnydale to master the beast which lies within him. Will he return next season, or will the action figure be all that fans have left of him?

The Oz action figure which will actually display the Entertainment Earth logo on the characters t-shirt will be available via Entertainment Earth this Winter at a retail price of $12.99.

Seth Green personally approved the officially licensed Buffy The Vampire Slayer item and even chose the hair, shirt, pant, and fingernail colors for this figure. In addition, the figure boasts 16 points of moving articulation, the most ever used for a Moore Action Collectible product. A limited edition of just 3,000 units will be produced.

Noted Labowitz, "Buffy is a remarkably original and innovative show and we are very excited to offer this highly detailed new action figure to the series loyal legion of fans worldwide. As always, Entertainment Earth will ensure that our mint-condition-only figures are delivered to consumers in the most reliable and expedient manner possible."

Clayburn Moore, the designer and President of Moore Creations, Inc said, "Seth Green is a true friend and has been a great help in making this action figure look terrific. Naturally, when he came to me expressing interest in doing an Entertainment Earth exclusive, I was happy to do it."

Added actor Green, "Having an action figure of myself is mind blowing enough, but having one this cool, detailed and well colored...let's just say I can't wait to get mine."

Entertainment Earth is one of the few Internet sites in the world to have been profitable from day one. Since it was established almost five years ago, the company has enjoyed a 230% average annual sales growth rate and is known for anticipating and fulfilling the needs of consumers around the world. Co-founder Jason Labowitz, in fact, helped found the business as an outgrowth of his own passion for collectibles, and both he and his brother remain committed to running the company from a collector's vantage point.

Based in Los Angeles, Entertainment Earth is the leading Internet retailer of collectible action figures, toys and memorabilia. Founded by action figure collectors with a strong understanding of the industry from a merchant and consumer point of view, the company offers an unprecedented mint-condition guarantee on products from "Star Wars" and other universally-popular films, television shows and comic book characters.
