Build-A-Bear Workshop® Provides Major League Baseball® Fans with Variety of Ways to Show Their Team Spirit!

ST. LOUIS -- March 21, 2006 -- Build-A-Bear Workshop® Opening New Ballpark Stores in San Francisco and St. Louis and Partnering with Ten Teams for Game Day Giveaways.

Build-A-Bear Workshop® and Major League Baseball® are again teaming up to provide fans across the country with opportunities to support their favorite teams in unique ways. Build-A-Bear Workshop stadium stores will open this season at AT&T Park™ in San Francisco and the new Busch Stadium™ in St. Louis. These two stores bring the total number of Build-A-Bear Workshop ballpark stores to five, joining the Make Your Own Phanatic™ store that opened in Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park™ in 2004, Make Your Own Gapper™ at Great American Ball Park™ in Cincinnati and Make Your Own Slider™ at Jacobs Field™ in Cleveland which both opened in 2005.

In San Francisco, Make Your Own San Francisco Giants™ Mascot by Build-A-Bear Workshop will be open during all San Francisco Giants™ home games and will allow fans to purchase a plush mascot, stuff it, give it a special heart, fluff it and then dress it in unique Giants clothing and accessories. The store will also feature a one-of-a-kind Giants Ballpark Bear and an orange Giants Baseball Bear, the first two in a series of bears created only for San Francisco Giants fans.

In the same fashion, fans of the St. Louis Cardinals™ will be able to make their team mascot, Fredbird™, at the Make Your Own Fredbird™ by Build-A-Bear Workshop store, a Cardinals Ballpark Bear and a red Cardinals Baseball Bear. These items are available only at the store in the new Busch Stadium which will be open during all Cardinals home games.

The stuffed animals made at Make Your Own San Francisco Giants Mascot and Make Your Own Fredbird stores range from $18 -$22 and can be dressed in officially licensed, team specific clothing. Outfits range in price from $6-$15 and include home and road uniforms, Tiny Tees® shirts including an exclusive Opening Day logo tee, biker jackets, pajamas and all the latest pink baseball fashions - jersey, shorts and warm-up jacket. Adding to the unique process of making a new furry friend are plush versions of game day snacks as well as team pennants, catchers gear, batting helmets and other bear-size accessories all available for $2-$10. Each new stuffed animal can be further personalized with the "Take Me Out To The Ballgame™" song and the "Charge" chant. All stuffed animals go home with their own specialized San Francisco Giants Mascot or Fredbird birth certificate and team branded Cub Condo® carrying case.

Also new in 2006 will be the chance for Boston Red Sox™ fans to make their own mascot, Wally the Green Monster™, at a new Build-A-Bear Workshop® store opening this May at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. This new Build-A-Bear Workshop store, located less than five miles from Fenway Park™, is the only mall-based Build-A-Bear Workshop store to offer its Guests the opportunity to make their own mascot and dress it in officially licensed Red Sox merchandise.

"Major League Baseball® games are destinations for family fun and at Build-A-Bear Workshop it is important for us to be where families go to have fun. Our ballpark stores include the same experience and interaction of our mall-based stores and we are excited about expanding the opportunities for baseball fans to show their team spirit," said Maxine Clark, Founder and Chief Executive Bear of Build-A-Bear Workshop.

In addition to the five stadium stores, Build-A-Bear Workshop is stepping to the plate and creating plush promotional items for ten teams. Each team will give their young fans an exclusive stuffed animal that will only be available at the ballpark on a specific day.
