Navia Dratp Price Drop

navia dratp

8/31/05 - Cypress, California - Bandai Collectible Games division has announced an across-the board price reduction for the first series of its collectible miniature game: "Navia Dratp" Unleashed Darkness Starters and Boosters.

The game, which successfully premiered one year ago, has been one of the best selling releases in recent years for distributors and retailers alike. Navia Dratp's unique appeal was unquestionable yet there remained one major obstacle that has kept the game from breaking out and reaching the entire gaming community.

"We know there are still many players out there who haven't yet tried Navia Dratp," says Bandai Collectible Games' National Sales Manager Andrew Lupp. "But, there was a huge price barrier in buying into the game. This new initiative breaks down that barrier and will allow more players to experience this remarkable game."

It all begins with the manufacturer's suggested retail price dropping from $29.99 per starter and $8.99 per booster, to the new price of $14.99 per Starter and $4.99 per Booster for the original Unleashed Darkness series. This will allow players to jump right in and begin playing for much less money than was required before. Distributors will be offering this new price point to retailers across the country beginning September 12.

Understanding that retailers may still have Navia Dratp product on their shelves, Bandai has a promotion that will help spur sales of this product as well promote the upcoming expansion, "Resurgence." Beginning this September, Bandai will distribute a limited edition exclusive foil preview card set of the "Resurgence" expansion to all Bandai authorized distributors. Distributors will then pass on these sets to retailers to promote sales of their current Navia Dratp product at the retail store front. These eight foil preview cards will be the only glimpse of some of the new figures premiering in the new set with Bandai producing a limited run of only 2000 sets; making them highly collectible.

With the market now primed for a surge in Navia Dratp players, the long awaited "Resurgence" booster expansion is scheduled to hit stores at the end of October, providing expanded gameplay and great new levels of collectibility. An in-pack promotion titled "The Quest for the Spirit Navia," does just that, by incorporating a fun redemption program that gives players and collectors a chance to acquire the ultimate Navia: "Navia Persephone." This extremely rare Navia is every collector's dream and only 100 lucky fans will have the opportunity to obtain this elusive character.

"The qualities of this game that set it apart in the market: unique gameplay, incredible craftsmanship and cool collectibility, are such that fans of strategy board games can enjoy Navia Dratp for years to come," Lupp continued. "With Bandai's strong support behind Organized Play, the new 'Resurgence' expansion and this new lower price initiative, retailers and fans can expect this incredible game to find its way to more players than ever before."
