McFarlane Toys at GI Joe Convention '05
See us at Heroes in Action June 24-26 in Minneapolis
Just when you thought we couldn't possibly rack up more frequent flier miles, the spawn.com road gang has added another show to our summer convention schedule. McFarlane staffers will be attending our inaugural GI Joe Heroes in Action convention. The 2005 event is taking place at the Marriott City Center in Minneapolis, MN, June 24-26.

Two weeks ago I explained the steps of creating Officer Ainge, a brand-new character for Spawn: Animation. The artist didn't have much to go on by way of description and his first submission was rejected, but overall it was a relatively easy process getting to the final design. This week I am going to tell you about a much different experience, the difficulty we had with redesigning Sam Burke.

First, the obvious: The 150th issue of an independent � and often dark and disturbing � comic book, one that saw its first issue hit shelves in June of 1992, is a truly big deal.
