2005 Wizard World Marvel Select Figure

July 2004 - Wizard Entertainment and Diamond Select Toys are letting fans choose which character will be made into an action figure as part of the Marvel Select series. Fans can choose from five different characters, and the winning choice will be sold as an exclusive action figure at the 2005 Wizard World Conventions.

The poll choices are:

  • Beast (Astonishing X-Men)
  • Sandman
  • She-Hulk
  • Thanos
  • Wolverine (Days of Future Past)

Visit this page to vote. Voting ends on Monday, July 12.

The winning character will be announced in an upcoming issue of ToyFare magazine. An unpainted prototype of the action figure will be on display at the Diamond Select booth at the 2004 Wizard World Chicago convention (August 13 to 15), and a painted prototype will be on display at the 2004 Wizard World Texas (November 5 to 7).

The exclusive figure will be sold at all of the 2005 Wizard World conventions (Chicago, Texas, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia).

But what about the other four characters? Well, they very well could be released in the future as part of the regular Marvel Select lineup, but Diamond Select has let us know that there are no guarantees about those characters being released.
