McFarlane's Conan, Series One

Tempe, AZ., May 17, 2004 - McFarlane Toys has released the first images from their upcoming Conan action figure series. Inspired by the Hyborian legends as originally written by creator Robert E. Howard, this line of figures represents several characters from the Conan mythos, each accompanied by a written legend.

"We're blown away by the life-like quality of these figures," stated Theodore Berquist, CEO at Conan Properties International. "McFarlane's dynamic interpretation of Conan and Hyboria is a fully realized vision. We look forward to a long association with them."

Todd McFarlane, McFarlane Toys founder and CEO declared, "We are really glad to have the opportunity to take the incredible stories of Robert E. Howard and bring those popular characters to life with a line of figures. My company will give them the detail and attention they deserve."

Each of the six action figures in this series feature incredible detail, bases and accessories. Several of the bases (Bêlit and Fire Dragon, and Conan 2 and Skifell) are interactive and can be attached together.

Svadun - With hair as bright as the summer sun and eyes the color of the bluest sky, Svadun the Aesir Warrior was born with the rising of a bloody new moon. This Warrior woman is as quick in wit as she is with her blade -- and she was once saved from certain death by Conan the Cimmerian.

Skifell - Though still beardless, he was said to be a prodigious battler, wielding a war-blade like death itself. Skifell's father was a Vanir Tribe Chieftain slain on the battlefield by one Conan, more than 25 winters ago. Since that day, Skifell, has been seeking to avenge his father.

Bêlit - After Stygian assassins killed her father, she became chief of a band of pirates and takes to a life of plunder and adventure. It is during this time she meets Conan, and together they share a deep and passionate love, while raiding the western seas with the black corsairs.

Fire Dragon, Son of Set - The High Priests have nurtured the Son of Set for generations, raising it on blood, magic and virgin flesh. This child of Set, this Fire Dragon, has grown to immense size and now possesses great intelligence and power. The Fire Dragon is a perfect guardian for the hatching scaled ones, and for keeping the Cimmerian pirate imprisoned.
