WizKids 2003 Convention Schedule

April 25, 2003 (SEATTLE) -- WizKids, LLC, makers of the ultra-popular Mage Knight(tm), HeroClix(tm) and MechWarrior(r) collectable miniatures games, today announced their summer tournament schedule for 2003, with thousands of dollars' worth of prizes and Limited Edition figures set aside for winners.

The tournaments will take place at comic and game conventions across the country from May through November, and will include U.S. National Championships and World Championships. Among the prizes will be rare MechWarrior Aurora-class DropShips, set aside for the U.S. and Canadian MechWarrior champions and for the top eight finishers at the MechWarrior World Championship.

The MechWarrior world champion will also be invited to help design a 'Mech(r) in an upcoming product release and have the 'Mech's pilot named after him or her. The Mage Knight world champion will also get to help design and name a character, which will be immortalized in the Mage Knight fictional universe.

"This is the biggest and best tournament schedule we've ever hosted," said Martin Stever, executive vice president of marketing for WizKids. "It's going to be a summer of fierce, friendly competition."

WizKids also plans to make available a limited number of DropShips for sale at the Philadelphia, Columbus, San Diego and Indianapolis shows. The ships will be sold only on a first-come basis, one per customer.
