Back to the Future on Fox Box

New York, NY (March 13, 2003) - Saturday morning is going BACK TO THE FUTURE(tm) on 4Kids Entertainment's FOX BOX, the fun-filled action-adventure Saturday morning kids lineup. Based on the popular feature film trilogy, the Emmy-winning animated series BACK TO THE FUTURE about time traveling will launch March 22 at 8:30 AM (ET/PT) on FOX BOX.

BACK TO THE FUTURE has captured the imagination of a new generation, thanks to the recent hit DVD trilogy featuring the original films. The animated series stars Christopher Lloyd in live-action wrap-arounds featuring scientific demonstrations by Bill Nye, the host of Bill Nye the Science Guy. Tom Wilson and Mary Steenburgen provide their voice talent - Wilson as the show's arch rival through history, Biff Tannen; and Steenburgen as Doc's no-nonsense wife, Clara Clayton Brown. Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer Simpson in The Simpsons, lends his voice as Doc Brown. The animated series BACK TO THE FUTURE has won several awards, including two Daytime Emmys.

"A Flux Capacitor should be standard equipment on every DeLorean and kids across the country will be begging their parents to drive at 88 mph," said Al Kahn, Chairman and CEO of 4Kids Entertainment. "The animated series is a perfect fit for our action-oriented Saturday morning block and is an FCC core educational show. That's a double bonus for our stations."

Since their first adventures through time, documented in the blockbuster films, Marty McFly and Doc Emmett L. Brown have settled down back in modern day Hill Valley, California. Marty's in junior college now, still or always dating Jennifer Parker and dreaming of being a rock-and-roll star. Doc Brown lives with his wife, Clara; their two sons, Jules and Verne; and Doc's dog, Einstein. Although Doc has resumed his quiet life of research and invention, he hasn't given up on time travel and has two fabulous time traveling machines: a DeLorean and a fully loaded locomotive with sleeping quarters and a laboratory.
