December 13, 2002 (SEATTLE) - WizKids is proud to announce the first Mage Knight(tm) Player's Choice Polls. The Player's Choice Polls is are internet-based polls conducted on the WizKids web site. The polls will allow Mage Knight players to design a figure from an upcoming Mage Knight Dungeons set by voting for the elements they would most like to see. Mage Knight fans will be able to vote on every major aspect of the figure, from its faction and background to its name and abilities. The figure created will be featured in a 2004 Mage Knight Dungeons release.
"We are always looking at more ways for our fans to gain a sense of ownership in the Mage Knight universe," said Jordan Weisman, WizKids owner and founder. "The Player's Choice Polls are a great way to let Mage Knight players get in on the design process. I'm looking forward to watching this character be developed online."
The Mage Knight Player's Polls begin on Friday, December 13, with the first of no less than five polls to decide whether the new character should be an Elite Hero or a Mage Spawn monster. Subsequent polls will determine the non-Hero faction (if the figure is an Elite Hero), character background, appearance, name, and finally, abilities and point value. Players will have two weeks to publicly and privately debate each aspect of the new figure before they vote.
