Time Declares Cindy Smart Cool

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Nov 18, 2002 -- Cindy Smart, the technological wonder manufactured by Toy Quest, appears in the November 18 issue of Time Magazine as one of the "Coolest Inventions of 2002." Cindy Smart is the first interactive talking doll on the market that can actually see, and Time recognizes her amazing technology as a high-tech breakthrough.

Time Magazine included Cindy Smart because of her unprecedented technology and creative features. The technology on which Cindy is based will provide the blue print for all future dolls of her kind. As the first doll that can see, Cindy Smart represents true innovation on behalf of Toy Quest.

Cindy Smart is an educational doll that can see, process information, speak, and interact with children. Within Cindy is an advanced 16-bit microprocessor that stores a 650-word vocabulary, allowing for months of unrepeated play. State-of-the-art voice recognition technology permits Cindy to interact with children, instructing them in spelling, math, shapes, colors and even foreign languages. As Cindy teaches them, they can also teach Cindy, allowing both to learn simultaneously.

"We are extremely pleased that Time Magazine, one of the most reputable magazines in the world, recognized Cindy Smart as one of the 'coolest' inventions of 2002," said Toy Quest President Brian Dubinsky. "Cindy Smart embodies the Toy Quest philosophy of using innovative technology to create unique products that are fun for children and enhance their natural creativity."
