Kirby Comes to Home Video

New York, NY (November 12, 2002) - 4Kids Entertainment Home Video, Inc., the newly established home video unit of 4Kids Entertainment in association with FUNimation, will release KIRBY COMES TO CAPPY TOWN on DVD and VHS on November 12, 2002.

One of Nintendo's most popular characters of all time, Kirby made his U.S. broadcast debut on 4Kids Entertainment's Saturday morning broadcast network - the FOX BOX - in September 2002. Now Kirby's first three episodes are available on home video for the first time: KIRBY COMES TO CAPPY TOWN, A BLOCKBUSTER BATTLE and KIRBY'S DUEL ROLE.

Kirby, a Warpstar Knight-in-training, crash lands on the Planet Popstar and accidentally ends up as the pink protector of villagers. When King Dedede conjures up all his maniacal monsters, Kirby inhales their powers and gives them back a taste of their own medicine! Don't mess with Kirby. He'll send it "Right Back at Ya!"

Kirby, one of the most widely recognized video game characters in the world, has appeared in 15 Nintendo video games to date, including the popular Super Smash Bros. Melee™ for Nintendo GameCube™. More than 20 million Kirby games have been sold worldwide since his debut a decade ago in Kirby's Dream Land® for Nintendo's Game Boy® Advance.

Nintendo of America manages the Kirby franchise in all territories outside of Asia; and 4Kids Entertainment is Nintendo of America's exclusive agent for licensing the property and is responsible for adapting the show.

EPISODE 1: KIRBY COMES TO CAPPY TOWN

When a rampaging monster threatens to destroy Cappy Town, a star-shaped spacecraft arrives carrying a mysterious pink visitor. Tiff and Tuff welcome him. The trash-talkin' King Dedede and his hench-snail Escargoon smell trouble. But only the mysterious Meta Knight seems to know the real secret of the Star Warrior and the evil force bent on destroying... Kirby!

EPISODE 2: A BLOCKBUSTER BATTLE

Tiff and Tuff try to find their new hero a home in Cappy Town. But King Dedede and Escargoon enlist the help of the cantankerous Tokkori to kick Kirby out. When their sabotaging schemes backfire, Dedede decides to order a new monster from Night Mare Enterprises, a shady on-line monster service. The result is... A Blockbuster Battle!

EPISODE 3: KIRBY'S DUEL ROLE

King Dedede -- dead set on getting Kirby out of Dreamland -- orders Meta Knight to challenge Kirby to a duel. Tiff and Tuff are shocked when their friend Meta Knight agrees. But Meta Knight's attacks only serve to sharpen Kirby's swashbuckling skills, which are put the test when Dedede downloads Kirby's deadliest opponent yet: the beastly Buggzy!
