These first two bases (as well as the accompanying action figures - Captain Jonathan Archer and Lt. Malcom Reed) will be shipping in September 2002. The second series of figures with bases will ship in October 2002 and will consist of Sub Commander T'Pol and Ensign Travis Mayweather.

Some of the features of the bases:

  • Lots of sculpted detail. Lots of Painted details (buttons) and pre-applied decals for control chips, buttons and plasma display.

  • Archer's command chair has a tiny flip up monitor as seen on the show.

  • Bases feature vocal Character audio from episodes "Broken Bow" and "Silent Enemy", as well as action sound effects. For example:
    • Reed requests permission to fire a torpedo then fires torpedoes.
    • Archer Issues commands, NX-01 gets attacked, NX-01 warps out.
    • Each base will have a looped bridge audio sound effect.

  • Bases will focus on detailed sculpting and paint ops instead of interactivity.
