Burger King Offers Simpsons Spooky Light-Ups

Beginning October 1st, America's most colorful family, THE SIMPSONS, will bring their special kind of "tricks" to BURGER KING(R) restaurants nationwide. Everyone who purchases a Big Kids Meal or Kids Meal will be "treated" to one of 15 character-themed Simpsons Spooky Light-Ups inspired by THE SIMPSONS ghoulish Halloween episodes.

Capturing the haunting Halloween humor of Bart, Homer, Marge, Lisa and numerous other Springfield characters dressed in "Treehouse of Horror" garb, the promotion celebrates one of the most popular holidays in America. At participating restaurants, three different Spooky Light-Up toys will be available each week throughout the five-week promotion, while supplies last.

"We've watched The Simpsons redefine the bounds of television with their edgy, irreverent humor over the past decade," said Richard Taylor, vice president of marketing for Burger King Corporation. "BURGER KING(R) redefined the hamburger business with our delicious flame-broiled sandwiches and our alignment with the Simpsons property makes perfect sense as it partners two brands that have brought innovation to their respective industries."

IT'S A BLACK "TONGUE" EVENT! Along with THE SIMPSONS this Halloween, tongues everywhere will be "costumed" with the coolest colors for the fall season: black and orange! Scary Black Cherry and Outrageous Orange Frozen Treats from Coca-Cola will have BURGER KING(R) Kids and Big Kids sticking out their chilly black and orange "tongue costumes" of choice. These Halloween-themed frozen treats will be available exclusively at participating BURGER KING(R) restaurants throughout the Simpsons Spooky Light-Ups promotion.

"We know that kids love experimenting with outrageous colored food and
drinks
," said Ed Zambie, senior marketing manager for Coca-Cola, USA. "Our Scary Black Cherry and Outrageous Orange frozen treat flavors were created especially for BURGER KING(R) restaurants so that their customers could be the 'coolest' trick or treaters this Halloween."

The BURGER KING(R) Simpsons Spooky Light-Ups promotion will be supported
by kid-directed television advertising featuring THE SIMPSONS sporting their
colorful tongues, along with in-restaurant merchandising and an interactive
microsite exclusively at http://www.burgerking.com.

Entering its thirteenth season on November 4th, THE SIMPSONS is one of the world's most popular shows in television history, currently seen in more than 60 countries and translated into over 20 languages.
