Kmart's 2009 Fab 15 Toy List

Kmart Shares Its Top Toy Picks for the Holiday Season

Kmart Unveils Its Fab 15 - Toys That Encourage Long-Term Play Value and Maximize Parent's Investment

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., September 29, 2009 -- Today, Kmart is starting the holiday shopping season by announcing, for the first time ever, its Fab 15 Toy list. The list features the hottest toys for the season with a focus on toys that deliver the best long-term play value. Each selection promotes creativity, role play and a level play that keeps kids engaged - not just for a few minutes - but for months to come.

"Kmart commitment to providing value to its customers shines through in our robust assortment of the top brands that both kids and Mom are seeking this year," said Dev Mukherjee, senior vice president and president, Seasonal & Toys, Sears Holdings. "We are thrilled to announce our Fab 15 for the first time ever, and we're doing it early so families can start shopping and taking advantage of layaway to really stretch their holiday dollars."

Kmart's Layaway program enables its customers to reserve hot items early, pay over time and pick them up before the holidays. Kmart knows that this year many families are worried about paying for the holidays, but layaway can help reduce Christmas stress for customers by allowing them to shop early and get the best value. Plus, starting holiday shopping now will allow parents to pick up the most popular toys early so they aren't sold out later in the season.

What's more, the retailer is jump starting the holiday season with goodwill. Today, Kmart is making Christmas count for children in New York City, by donating $15,000 worth of the Fab 15 toys to local city Boys & Girls Clubs. Kmart will continue to work with the Boys & Girls Clubs in additional markets throughout the holiday season.

Customers can shop for any of the items on the Fab 15 list at local Kmart stores nationwide or online anytime at www.kmart.com. What's more, customers have the option to find a product online and have it shipped to a store near them at no cost.

Toys featured on the Kmart Fab 15 list range from $10.99 to $99.99. For more information and to start holiday shopping, please visit www.kmart.com.
