McFarlane Toys: Holiday Top 10 List

McFarlane Toys Release Holiday Top 10 List
10 Action Figures for 10 Dollars

TEMPE, Ariz., Nov. 10, 2008 -- With the gift-giving season just around the corner, McFarlane Toys has unveiled their "Top 10" holiday list. This list showcases some of the most coveted action figures at a price that won't break your budget!

1. Johnny Napalm (Guitar Hero)
2. Master Chief (Halo 3)
3. Brett Favre, Green Bay Packers (NFL, Wave 1)
4. Marine Corps with Flamethrower (Call of Duty)
5. War Chieftain (Halo 3)
6. Patrick Ewing, NY Knicks (NBA Legends, Series 4)
7. Don Cherry, Boston Bruins (NHL 19)
8. Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings (NFL, Wave 2)
9. British Special Ops Soldier (Call of Duty)
10. God of Rock (Guitar Hero)

"We came up with the list based on sales numbers, collectability and quite simply, the overall detail and coolness of the action figure," says McFarlane Toys CEO Todd McFarlane.

McFarlane Toys' Guitar Hero figures (www.mcfarlane.com/guitarhero) are just hitting store shelves now. Halo (www.mcfarlane.com/halo) debuted not long ago and Call of Duty will be in stores in early November. The figures can be found at mass retailers such as Wal-Mart, Toys 'R' Us, KB Toys, GameStop and Spencer's Gift or at major online retailers like www.toysrus.com or www.amazon.com. Moving parts and accompanying accessories vary per figure. Prices per figure vary with retailers.

Guitar Hero and Halo action figures are expected to be the top selling McFarlane action figure lines on the market this year.

In fact, the video game releases themselves have been huge successes. According to Electronic Entertainment Design And Research (EEDAR) analyst Jesse Divnich, the Guitar Hero World Tour video game is expected to eclipse 5.5 million units sold during the holiday season.

"When Halo 3 hit the market, the first day of sales surpassed that of any motion picture's opening weekend - ever," McFarlane says. "The video game industry is one that we just cannot ignore."
