geppi's entertainment museum

Sept. 24, 2008 - YORK, Pa. - Geppi's Entertainment is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, www.GeppisEntertainment.com, which will serve as a gateway to the family of companies' existing websites. This site is now live.

Offering the latest news on company activities, profiles of projects and employees, and a review of press coverage of Geppi's Entertainment company activities, this new site showcases the diverse array of entities focused on documenting, promoting, and delivering vintage pop culture collectibles to the collecting public and informing the general public about the industry.

Represented on the site are Geppi's Entertainment Museum, Morphy Auctions, Hake's Americana & Collectibles, Russ Cochran Comic Art Auctions, Diamond International Galleries, Gemstone Publishing, and Scoop.

Whether one is interested in today's Disney comics, the story of Hopalong Cassidy, cast-iron mechanical banks, EC Comics, hard to find character timepieces, Tiffany Studios lamps, Carl Barks lithographs, or the history of collectibles, this new site is an excellent place to find it all.

"While our other sites have been running for quite some time, we're very happy to provide this focal point, which gives a much better idea of the scope of the Geppi's Entertainment Publishing & Auctions family of companies," said John K. Snyder, Jr., President of Geppi's Entertainment.

Each of the sites from the company's individual units is still up and running and will remain so. This new site is designed to serve as a gateway for those new to Geppi's Entertainment as well as old friends interested in seeing the depth and breadth of the operation.

Born in the "Little Italy" section of Baltimore, Md., Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc. president and chief executive officer Stephen A. Geppi turned his childhood love of comics into the world's largest distributor of English language comic books. Loyal to community, Steve is minority owner of the Baltimore Orioles and proprietor of Baltimore magazine.

The Geppi's Entertainment family of companies is dedicated to promoting the awareness of the role of popular culture in mainstream American history by making vintage pop culture artifacts and information about them available to the general public and specialists alike through auctions, sales, live events and detailed publications.
