NPD Annouces Top Selling Action Toy Lines of 2000

The NPD Group Inc., the market research organization that monitors retail sales figures of toys in its monthly TRSTS (Toy Retail Sales Tracking Service) report to the industry, has released its list of the Top-Selling Action Brand Toys of 2000.Despite recent reports of financial disappointments from Hasbro, in particular with its Star Wars and Pokemon product lines, Hasbro clearly dominates the list holding 5 of the top 10 spots. The only other company with multiple brands on the list is Bandai, with its long-running Power Ranges franchise (taking the top slot) and Digimon.
