The Award-Winning "Battlestar Galactica" Star Will Be On Hand To Greet Fans And Sign Autographs

Congers, NY (May 23, 2008) - The actress who brings the hero of "Battlestar Galactica" to life every week will now only be appearing at Wizard World Philadelphia on Sunday, June 1st. The actress best known for her role as Starbuck on "Battlestar Galactica" recently announced that she will be appearing on the hit series "Nip/Tuck" during its next season, thus adding another award-winning television program to her already impressive body of work.

The initially controversial reimagining of the 1970s cult series "Battlestar Galactica" has won critical acclaim and legions of fans with its unprecedented realism, complex plotlines, and top notch performances. Sackhoff portrays hotshot pilot Kara "Starbuck" Thrace, a role originally played by Dirk Benedict. Sackhoff's brutally honest and tenacious performance reassured fans that she was perfect for the role. Since its debut in 2003, Sackhoff has been nominated for a Saturn award three times, one of which led to a win.

During her Sunday appearance, Sackhoff will be on hand to meet her fans and sign autographs.
