K'Nex Management Change


HATFIELD, PA - Sept. 17, 2001 - K'NEX Industries, Inc., one of the world's leading construction toy manufacturers, announced today that the company has promoted Jay Eck to Vice President of Sales. The announcement was made by Norman Walker, President and Chief Operating Officer of K'NEX.

Mr. Eck, previously served as one of two Directors of Sales for K'NEX. In his new position, he will assume expanded responsibility for all North American sales, services, and distribution channel management.

In making the announcement, Mr. Walker stated, "Jay is a highly regarded professional and seasoned sales executive. Since joining K'NEX in 1998, he has played an important role in establishing strategic partnerships with a number of key retailers, and I am confident he will provide strong leadership."

Prior to joining K'NEX, Mr. Eck served as National Accounts Sales Manager for True Temper Hardware and Union Tools, where he was responsible for the development of the company's Home Center Distribution.
