Hi, I just picked up a couple of the HALO Anniversary figures... but are these in a different scale than the HALO Reach figures? What is the more common scale for Halo - which ones go with which?
And when they do Halo 4 figures, what scale will that be?

Thanks

The HALO Anniversary figures are based on the old scale. Old scale being everything PRIOR to the Halo: Reach line. However, Captain Keyes & white Spartan in the latest wave scaled to fit the Reach line.

As far as we know, going forward, everything will be in the Halo: Reach scale including Halo 4.

Close!

The Halo Universe line is the fall will feature (again) a mix of the old Halo 3-style figures and the larger Reach-style figures. Halo Universe Series 1 will have the final member of the ODST Squad, Romeo, in the old scale along with an Elite Commando. In addition, it's unknown if the ODST that comes with the Deluxe Drop Pod will be the old mold or if there's a new, larger Reach-style ODST mold coming.

Halo Anniversary Series 1 includes a Halo: CE Master Chief in the new Reach scale, and Halo Anniversary Series 2 includes a Halo Legends Master Chief, Mark VI Spartan, and Captain Keyes in the Reach scale. The Master Chief Evolutions Three-Pack contains three Master Chiefs in the Reach scale as well. (There's also a Guilty Spark and Sentinel set, but I have no clue what the hell scale those are supposed to be in--particularly Guilty Spark.)

That's so annoying... why would they have 2 different scales in the same line??

Ok. So now I'm confused as to the scale of the Master Chiefs.

I personally miss the old joyride scale it was different those figures were adorable and they look great only they had the same articulation as McFarlane

I have never noticed a difference in scale between older Mcfarlane in Newark McFarling now I'm going to have to look at that

My question is the Halo Anniversary series 1 MC the same as the MC in the Evolutions Boxset?

That's correct. The Halo Anniversary Series 1 Master Chief and the one from the Evolutions Boxset are the exact same figure with no differences. The other two Master Chiefs in the Evolutions set are exclusive to that set.

The old style McFarlane used from 2008-2010 was incredibly fragile and breakable. They upgraded in late 2010 to the larger scale for the Halo Reach line, but unfortunately they had already started teams of characters like the ODSTs in the old scale and they did the right thing by completing the teams in the old scale rather than forcing collectors to buy all the characters they already had again in a new size.

It's a little bizarre to have figures in different scales shipping in the same case assortments right now, but it was necessary to get the ODST Squad and various other characters in the proper size ratios to each other, so I think McFarlane Toys did exactly the right thing.

I know we're talking apples and oranges, but I highly recommend any Halo fan check out the Play Arts Versions of Reach and Masterchief characters.

One of the coolest items I've gotten this year is the Exclusive Silver Master Chief. I have the Green and now just need the Black one.
