2002
Wizard World Chicago:
Palisades Toys

Palisades Toys had a large booth with television sets in two corners: one playing the Muppet Show and one playing old Micronauts commercials. There weren't any of their new Micronauts on display (there was a shelf of vintage ones), but chances are good that some will be on display at the San Diego Comic Con.

Palisades produced an exclusive action figure for the show - the Vanishing Cream Beaker. There were about 1700 VC Beakers made for the show, and they sold out. (They were $15 each, with a limit of two per person.) Do not resort to eBay if you want one and couldn't get one, because Palisades will be making him available again later through their collector club on their web site. Details haven't been finalized yet, but expect to learn more in late July or August.

Palisades had two new busts on display, the Alien Queen (she's big!) and the little Alien fellow who explodes from your chest.

Their other displays featured the Muppets action figures, the GI Joe busts, the Year Without a Santa Claus action figures, and the Resident Evil action figures.
