Action Products Int'l Reports Record Toy Fair

Action Products Int'l Reports Record Toy Fair; Leading Specialty Toy Maker Grabs for Market Share With New Products, Brands

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 25 - Action Products International Inc., a leading specialty toy company, received an extremely favorable reception for its product lineup at this year's International Toy Fair held throughout the week ending February 16, in New York.

"Our exciting new products and brands generated an unprecedented level of interest and very favorable reactions throughout the entire week. Orders placed during the show were 40% ahead of last year," said Action's CEO Ron Kaplan. "Our combination of licensed and proprietary brands comprises a very strong complimentary and diversified portfolio. We received many congratulatory comments from peers in the industry and even 'thank you's' from our sales reps for our team's vision and dedication in continuing to invest in the development of new and innovative products in spite of the challenges created by the sluggish economy and retail environment."

According to Kaplan, APII management has worked aggressively to expand market share while the retail channel has experienced somewhat of a shakeout. The Company believes the strategy is paying off. Customer reaction to new products and brands such as toys under a recently announced JAY JAY THE JET PLANE(TM) (on PBS and PBS Kids networks coast to coast in the USA) license has been very favorable on the part of retailers ranging from independents to specialty chains and franchises.

Based on the reception to new branded products including Jay Jay(TM), I Dig Surprises(TM) Discovery Eggs(TM), and Kidz Workshop(TM) wooden projects and play tools, as well as improvements and extensions to the Company's current brands such as Space Voyagers and I Dig Dinosaurs, management expects 2002 will be another record year for the company's revenues.
