marvel select Colossus action figure

March 2, 2012 - The word has come down from collectors that Colossus is one of the best Marvel Select figures Diamond Select Toys has made in a long time -- possibly ever! So we're asking you to take pictures of him! Send us a picture of your Colossus in the coolest pose and setting, whether it's as part of a killer diorama on your shelf or in a brutal fight scene or out and about in the real world, and you can win a massive Marvel Select prize pack! The winner will get six Marvel Select X-Men figures, including some rare chase figures, plus an unpainted pre-production test shot of one of our past X-Men figures! It's our biggest Marvel Select X-Men-themed photo contest ever!

Rules:

- Take a photo in which the Marvel Select Colossus figure is the central character. You can include other figures or just Colossus, but all of the toys in the photo should be from Diamond Select Toys. No toys from other toy companies will be allowed. Photos with obvious non-DST content will be deleted.

DST x NYTF Round-Up: Mad Monster Party!

February 24, 2012 - Diamond Select Toys revealed a bunch of cool new licenses at New York Toy Fair, and one of the most awe-inducing reveals was the classic Halloween property Mad Monster Party! Based on the 1967 Rankin/Bass feature film, the movie featured all of the famous monsters in the studio's classic stop-motion style, and so will the action figure line from DST! The first assortment of 7-inch-scale figures should be out in September, and will include Dracula, the Monster and Baron Boris Von Frankenstein, based on the likeness of vocal performer (and horror legend) Boris Karloff! Check out these shots from the DST booth!

DST Adds Mad Monster Party

Diamond Select Toys to Host "Mad Monster Party" as Toy Maker for the Classic Rankin/Bass Film

February 2012 - Diamond Select Toys knows monsters -- after all, the Maryland-based collectibles company has been making toys and statues of vampires, aliens and werewolves for almost 13 years. But they are especially proud to announce the latest property to join their horror line-up: Mad Monster Party, the classic film by Rankin/Bass, animators of Rudolph and the Island of Misfit Toys and Santa Claus is Comin' to Town. Using the same stop-motion animation style they used for their Christmas specials, Rankin/Bass brought all of pop culture's most famous monsters to the big screen in 1967, and now Diamond Select Toys will bring them to the toy aisle as a line of fully poseable action figures.

Diamond Select Toys Acquires Toy Rights to "The Walking Dead" Comic Book

February 2012 - Robert Kirkman, creator and writer of Image/Skybound's hit comic, "The Walking Dead," and writer/Executive Producer on the international hit television show based upon it, has joined forces with Maryland-based Diamond Select Toys, who will handle the toy license. DST has a 13-year-long history of producing quality toys and collectibles, many based on established comic book and horror properties, and is happy to be able to bring the book's well-developed characters and gruesome zombies to three-dimensional life as a line of Minimates and figural banks.

Iron Man Neon Sign

I Am Neon Man! DST's Iron Man Neon Sign Will Look Great On Your Wall or Desk

February 2012 - Diamond Select Toys' line of Marvel Comics-based neon signs has been getting "glowing" reviews, and now they've added another icon to their wall! Their current offerings of the Marvel Comics logo and Captain America's shield are about to be joined by a brand-new sign featuring the Armored Avenger, Iron Man.

The 12-inch-tall face of ol' Shellhead lights up in bright red, yellow and blue atop a versatile display base, so you can hang it on your wall or stand it on your desk! As a bonus, the sign comes with a sketch-cover variant of Avengers vs. X-Men #1, although we should probably say that this neon sign is not recommended for use as a reading lamp. Pre-order it through your favorite comic shop or specialty retailer today, and look for it to arrive this summer!
