Saw 4 of them at TRU today ($34.99), and it's on their website:
Movie Masters Batman vs Bane
Bane looks better in hand than the photos making the rounds would lead you to believe. He's got sculpted wrinkles on the neck, around his pecs, and he has that scar running down his spine that's been shown in the early pics. But, he needs to be Schumachered (he's got no nipples).
These will probably go on sale around the time of the movie, be in ample supply and may even go to clearance (like the past TRU MM exclusive sets).
Hopefully the eBay speculators are taking a bath on them.
On a related note, what does everyone think of the SDCC Bruce to Batman set. I'm curious to see closer pics and wonder how well that rubber batsuit will hold up with age. Pretty cool packaging and accessories (finally).
So, did you go out today and find any of the new release date sensitive toys?
Did you find a place to break street date and have them for weeks/months already?
I hit one Walmart and called 3 others. The ONLY one that seemed to actually do the street date was a small one nearby.
I was able to get Bane and Alfred MM, 3 Joes: Red Ninja, Joe Trooper and Zartan, Venom (aka the only Spidey 3 3/4 I will buy from this wave, unless the movie changes my mind) and Robin and Killer Kroc from the New Batman line (more for my son if he shows interest).
Quick thoughts: Bane: such a missed opportunity. Why no below the shoulder swivel? The paint on the head is not even complete. You can tell that the head is black plastic and painted.
Alfred: It looks better in person. He comes with the best piece of the Bat Signal. It's an OK figure.
I thought they were shipping this month.
hey guys i live in australia and am trying to track down the following toy i'll be as descriptive as possible im pretty sure it was late 80's early 90's
it is an N gauge train set that is set up like a roller coaster, it glows in the dark the track has the following set up
straight track that launches up the wall and then back down, goes through a loop and then a 180 degree turn back to the first straight
the train itself is a yellowish glow in the dark green
sorry i can't be more descriptive its been pver 15 years since i've thought about this toy
thank you

Checked Amazon yesterday, and for the 1st time (that I've seen) they had new Star Wars Vintage figures, not the 3rd party sellers, but them. Bought Vintage Vader, Dr. Evazan, and Hoth Luke, paid over the $9.99 retail in my area, $12.99 each, but considering the Phantom pegwarmers (Padawan Ani et al) are in ample supply here, the extra is no problem, plus free shipping.
After reading the posts by people who found Avengers wave 3 and the DKR Movie Masters, I decided to give it a shot. First Wal-Mart I hit had 4 or 5 Hawkeyes, 5 Skrulls, but no Widows so I got 2 of each, one for me, one for my brother. Second Wal-Mart was a few blocks away. Found 1 Widow, and 2 each of Hawkeye and the Skrull, and it looked like a case of the DKR Movie Masters were just stocked. Bought Widow, and 1 each of Bats, Bane, and the only Alfred they had. Avengers were $8.96, Movie Masters were $16.47.
I had a pretty fair week, all in the Middle Tennessee area around not far outside Nashville. For those of you looking:
One Target offered up the Captain Rex and Commando Boss Clone Wars figures. I like the look of both, but I was disappointed (and a little shocked) to find no leg articulation below the hip joints--no knees and no ankles. The wrists are solid, too, although the elbows at least offer a full rotation to compensate.
I showed up somewhat late for Retaliation a few times (both Wal-Marts, today and yesterday), finding them already a little picked over. But after opening Cobra Commander, I don't mind so much. Again, a nice looking figure, but seems cheaply made, especially for more than $9 after tax. Floppy legs, and hands that slide out of socket on a whim. Feels like I'm holding a Funskool Joe, for those of you who have any of those and know what I mean.
The one redeeming Hasbro find came this morning: Hawkeye and Black Widow, front and center on two separate pegs, one of each. Pretty happy with these! Great likenesses, nice articulation, and solidly built. Hawkeye seems a tad big, but I can live with that.
Another site using "Toy Maniac" in its' title? Well, sub-title?

It appears that the following figures will be released, if the back of the Jubilee Marvel Universe figure is correct
Jubilee
Blastarr
Professor X
Disco Dazzler
I got an email from my friend who was able to locate a carded Jubilee figure on ebay
He also saw (from a seller)a boxed set of Marvel Universe called "Heroic Age" which features Iron Man, Thor (with chain male armor), and the Red Hulk
Picked up a bunch of Thundercats stuff, 2.50 for 4 inchers, 5.50 for 6 inchers and 11 for the Thundercar. Also picked up some GL Classics for 5.99. Online they have the same prices, there's a 6 dollar Catman up for those that don't have him already.
Couldnt believe it found these 2 an hour ago at the 95th TRU in Overland Park, Kansas. Thought scalping employe guy got them as there was a single comic series Skrull left but another case with these 2 were up front in the Avengers display! So Glad to not have to worry about them anymore!!
