We're a little over a month away from the big event! What're you looking forward to?
I can't wait to see:
-GI Joe 2.
-WWE Elite and Legends for the year.
-The Dark Knight Rises Movie Masters.
-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classics and Nick Toon stuff.
-More DC Direct Arkham City.
-Some of NECA's movie and video game stuff.
-DC Direct hopefully expanding the New 52 stuff. Wanna see Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Nightwing, etc. and some of the new baddies from the books like The Talon, Trench, etc.
-HOPING to see some John Carter and 6 inch Men in Black stuff.
Same here though if there WAS a John Carter line we probably would have seen something by now let alone the product on the shelves.....you never know though. Heres what im looking forward to seeing
Gi Joe 2 and MAYBE more 30th Anniveresry Collection?
MOTUC (they have to show at least 2 more figures)
Neca's Movie lines (Rocky 4, and the rumored Rambo line also fingers crossed for Expendables 2)
Marvel Universe/Legends (and hopefully some MORE Avengers stuff)
Star Wars (eh its a dying line but wouldnt mind seeing SOMETHING new)
Walking Dead (picked up the TV version of Rick and I love it, looking forward to getting Shane)
Dark Knight Rises
Thunder Cats
And of coarse whatever surprises there are!
I think the problem is that too many people are seeing "Prince of Persia" when they look at Carter, and it just couldn't be further removed from it. Carter definately lends itself better to toys than PoP did, I think.
Who knows? I mean, we didn't get Pirates of the Caribbean figures until almost two years after the fact, since companies had no idea how good the movie actually was going to be. So hopefully JC proves to be a hit, and we have the same kind of scenario.
Oh, and I forgot.....can't wait to see how this new company does with The Hobbit. Don't expect to see those until around SDCC, though.
Wow, I didn't realize that I had gotten so 'out of it' when it came to Toy Fair! It is just around the corner.
Even though I don't collect them, I really like a lot of the designs of the GI Joe figures. If they keep it up, I could see this line really taking off.
I wonder if something like Skylanders will be there ? Not necessarily that game, but another one that uses the same concept. I really think that is going to be the future of action figures.
I'm trying to keep myself contained to just MU and DCU All Stars but I know my days are numbered til they announce a Matty only figure that I'm going to really want.
MU has already announced Nighthawk, Hercules, Puck and Black Knight. The only way they could top that would be to hit me with Mockingbird, safari jacket Wonder Man, Shaman, Hellcat, Valkyrie and Box.
I know GI Joe 2 will catch me with a couple characters though.
And MOTUC could always pop up with Ram Man and draw me in.
Sentinel
Personally I`m looking forward to:
- WWE stuff especially Flashbacks and Any legend they might put in a Heritage Wave. They really need to make redecos of Sgt Slaughter, the L.O.D. and a Barefoot Snuka and an early 90s British Bulldog.
- MU to keep building my Marvel Universe.
- GI Joe 2 , mostly because I want a Bruce Willis Action figure in that scale. In my eyes that figure won't be of Joseph Colton, to me it will be a John Mcclain action figure.
- Bandai Thundercats! More 4inch figures (More Villains please) and the 6inch Classics.
- Hoping for a Rise of the Dark Knight 4inch line.
- Hoping for a 4inch TMNT line now that they are going to have a new cartoon.
- More Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat in 4inch scale
- Transformers - Hoping for some more generation figures. I personally would love an G1 Soundwave with Laserbeak that are compatitble with the ravage that came with hound or a G1 Shockwave (Shockblast now due to copyright stupidity). And finally a G1 Megatron I don`t mind if it comes with a big ugly orange cap on the tip of the barrel, I can paint that black.
- I too would like to see a John Carter line but I prefer my figures to be in 4inch scale as I'm running out of space. And having figures in storage is no fun.
Cheers!
I guess I am loking forward to:
Men in Black 3 stuff
Avengers stuff
The Dark Knight Rises stuff
First post on the new site! Huzzah.
Man, you guys have whole huge lists! I don't have a lot, but off the top of my head:
-More Arkham Asylum/City Play Arts (Catwoman, Robin, Nightwing, R'as Al Ghul?)
-More DC Legos (HALL OF JUSTICE!!!)
-More DC All Stars/Club Infinite Earths figures that I actually care about (read: no more 52 garbage)
-New 6" Young Justice
I'm sure I'll think of more, but I'm really winding down lately...
I'm looking forward to Marvel Legends, new characters in Star Wars and GI Joe.
Living in Mexico has it´s drawbacks....$18 for a Star Wars figure for one.
So I am awaiting more
MU
GI Joe
Star Wars
Mattel WWE
Let's see:
LOTR Legos (better pictures)
G.I. Joe Kre-O's (just hoping about these, though they are making Battleship so it would surprise me if they didn't do Joe)
Transformers Kre-O's (wave 2, since an Ironhide minifig has been seen in the Target displays)
Marvel Universe (Masters of Evil)
Avengers (comic figures in the movie line)
Mega Bloks Starscraft and WoW sets
Mega Man figures (maybe this year but doubtful, sigh)
Sonic figures (I think we're supposed to be getting Blaze and Charmy aren't we?)
DC All-Stars (beyond wave 2)
Green Lantern TAS (maybe?)
Thundercats (hoping to see more non 'Cats)
More comic Mini Muggs
Non Batman DC Legos
New Minimates
Transformers we haven't seen yet
What I'm looking forward to:
Any MOTUC reveals (though I doubt we'll see much new).
DCUC sub reveals (the first two waves of the retail line are less than thrilling, so I'm hoping to see something exciting here)
Tcats, both new and classic
Avengers movie, MU, and Legends
Maybe GI Joe movie figures and MIB 3, depending on what they look like.
Oddball stuff like the $6 Million Man 8" figures that are supposed to be coming (only saw Bigfoot from SDCC).
Stuff I should be looking forward to like Dark Knight is tempered by the photos I've seen from the movie; Catwoman is basically recognizable, but that's about it; nothing there or with anything else I've seen so far that has my excited for regular or movie master figures.
Interested to see if things like Young Justice will continue, as well. That line could be awesome, but it's fallen far short thus far (the price with the BAF Hall of Justice has definitely hurt, as has the ludicrous and completely unjustified price for the 2-packs).
I am hoping Toy Fair brings:
-More DC Legos as well as Lord of the Rings
-More DC All Stars
-New 6" Young Justice with Miss Martian and Superboy (current)
-Movie Masters TDKR
-DC Direct plans hopefully including those DC Universe Online figures that had been cancelled to make room for DCnU stuff (that is still months away from release)
Not sure Toy Fair will be the place for showing off more DC Club Infinite Earths figures, but hopefully by then we'll have seen Poison Ivy (hopefully classic) and at least one more. I most want the classic New Teen Titans versions of Starfire and Changeling, but I ain't holding my breath.
I'm hoping to see:
I am hoping we see:
More Marvel Legends
6 Inch Thundercats
6 inch Young Justice (come on Blank Manta and Miss Martian)
Play Arts Batman Arkham City
new stuff From NECA
some of the oversized figures from the DC Sub
Oh yeah...forgot about GL:TAS....definately looking forward to those. Have you seen these? They were on ebay a few months ago...
I only really collect MU stuff anymore but really I just love the toy reveals. I'm like a kid on Christmas morning all weekend long. Like back when you had to wait for the latest Lee's and Tomart's to come out to see new stuff.
Looking forward to the following:
Batman Legacy figures (vintage Penguin, Riddler, 70's Ra's Al Ghul or some obscure characters like original Clayface, Calendar Man or modern Firefly)
Lego Superheroes - interested in seeing what new Marvel sets are coming (X-Men Danger Room perhaps?) and how they are going to expand the DC line (Hall of Doom!?)
Venture Brothers - Loving the 8" line and I'm looking forward to who is coming next (Fingers crossed for Mrs. Dr. The Monarch and a generic Monarch Henchman)
DC Infinite Earth Sub - I am hoping for some announcement, but this is more of a Comic Con thing I guess.
GI Joe and MOTU - not really a collector of either lines, but the figures have been so awesome lately, I love seeing what they're coming up with next!
Batman Legacy is kaputski after the third series, unfortunately.
I had not. I'm really disappointed we're not seeing any elbow joints in Kilowog. I'm guessing we're seeing more JLUesque articulation. Watch everything be drastically out of scale for it to even fit with JLU.
At the very least we'll get an animated Atrocitus and maybe Larfleeze out of this line.
Looking forward to:
MiB3
4-inch Marvel lines (everyone seems to be forgetting that there's a new Spider-Man movie coming)
new Star Wars figures
Mars Attacks!
GI Joe
Redakai (it's a mixed bag but some of the individual figs are quite nice)
I'm also interested to see what Unimax has coming for their 4-inch video game lines and Mega Bloks' Warcraft stuff.
The studio is apparently planning that the John Carter movie is going to be the first in a series. So I think that if it does well enough for that we'll see toys starting with the second movie, like happened with PotC.
Off the top of my head:
I also am curious to see what old property gets the Retro/Nostalgia revival this year (Silverhawks? Air Raiders? Sectaurs?).
a G1 Shockwave (Shockblast now due to copyright stupidity).
He's Shockwave again, they were able to secure the name again in time for his appearance on Transformers Animated. Even though I would love an updated G1 Shockwave, they'll probably do a Fall of Cybertron version instead (which I will happily buy).
That said, here's what I'm looking for.
Transformers
-The next round of Generations figures are a must. I think it's about time we've gotten a proper Sunstorm. Really want to see Blitzwing made to round-out the Decepticon Triplechangers. Other than that I'm open to anything.
-Fall of Cybertron should get a small sub line like War for Cybertron did. PLEASE make a Voyager (or bigger!) Grimlock, Hasbro! After that I promise if you make a Combaticon set in Leader packaging it will fly off the shelves. And of course Shockwave is a must along with updated Prime and Megatron figures.
-Then there's Transformers: Prime. Waiting on mass retail to get these, I expect a pretty big display at Toy Fair. I'm open to anything, just a matter of picking and choosing which figures in what scale to get.
-Fully expect to see the new Masterpiece Optimus Prime on display, still have my fingers crossed for a mass retail release instead of an exclusive.
-Finally there's Dark of the Moon, those will still linger in some form for a while longer. Only thing I really want is a large version of Hatchet, I love the Cyberverse version.
I want to see Mattel do more with Voltron. Feels like they should have something for mass retail and how that they've locked people in with subscriptions this is a good time to give us something smaller for retails. Not too crazy about the Voltron Force cartoon, but I do think it's one of the better re-imaginings of the cats and wouldn't mind a set.
That's really it for domestic releases. February is also Winter Wonder Festival in Japan where I'm sure they'll be showing off all sorts of stuff I'll be spending the year drooling over.
Emerje
Looking forward to the Adam West Batman figure....
Oh wait, never mind.
There is also the UK Toy Fair which usually doesnt show much but sometimes things get leaked out much like Thunder Cats did last year and thats only a couple of weeks away right?
To add to my previous list, I wouldnt mind seeing if Hasbro will release a new big ticket item for the Star Wars line just hope its from the OT
Those GL protos look fantastic
I'm looking forward to Lego, Thundercats and anything Arkham City.
Don't collect but also interested in seeing MotUC, Transformers, Marvel & DC.
I usually take a look at the pictures for most everything just for fun. However, I don't think I'll bother to look at SW this time around. Seems like it is just the same thing over and over. Heck, half the time it really is just the same figures being repackaged for the zillionth time!
The plural of 'Lego' is 'Lego'.
There is never a trailing 's'.
Witness:
"I would like to see more Lego" / "I would like more Lego sets" / "Lego makes better Lego than MegaBloks" / "I don't have enough Lego" / "My son likes his Lego" / "I just bought my daughter 3 new Lego sets from the Lego Friends line and now she's into Lego, too!"
Cheeze it fellas. One day into the new digs and the grammar police have already found us.
I wasn't aware of this fact and it's nice to know but is it really worth multiple posts?
You're going to be that guy? Already?
He's been marked as offensive for trolling already.
Mattel's DC line and Young Justice.
Well, you could reply back and let him know that it's actually LEGO and not just Lego.
I can't wait to see the HOBBIT and LOTR Legos!
the reveals for sdcc 2012 or some of them.
mu
marvel legends
sw vintage, clone
joes
I can't wait to see some of the LEGOses!
News from NY Toy Fair that I would like to see,
DC All Stars / Club Infinite Earths
Any 3.75" - 4" DC Comics figures (Mattel or DC Direct)
Mars Attacks! figures from Mezco
I like old school horror films starring Bela LEGOses!
sorry couldn`t resist...
Also like to see if there will be any news on the Hobbit licences other than Lego news.
1. Marvel Minimates
2. Thundercats Classics
3. G.I. JOE (movie/30th)
4. TF Generations/Fall of Cybertron
5. ML
I doubt we'll seen any DCUC subcription figures, but they would be a nice surprise.

- Transformers: Prime, Generations, and/or Fall of Cybertron
- Marvel: Avengers and Legends mostly. My interest in Universe is cooling down, but I'll be curious to see what they reveal.
- the Hobbit: I don't think I'll be collecting them myself, but I still want to see them.
- As always, I hold out hope that some company will introduce a new property that's fun and original.
What about that Super Powers colored Penguin that was making the rounds? Wasn't he a part of Legacy?
From what I understand, you're likely to see that in DC Universe AllStars, or the subscription.
Does MOTUC make a showing? I wasn't into MOTUC last year, so I didn't make mental note. I'm now tied to the subs this year.
Looking forward to:
JLU (hopefully some good news regarding the as-of-yet unreleased figures; I want Beetle and Guy so much!)
DCUC/All-Stars (The Shade, Fire, Ice, Rocket Red, Wally Flash, Max Lord, GRIFTER)
Transformers Generations (G1-style Arcee, Springer, and Blurr, please)
Transformers MP-10 Optimus Prime to be retooled and repainted as Ultra Magnus with snap-on red and blue armor
Marvel Legends (all I want is Multiple Man and I'll be thrilled)
