Iron Man's oldest armored adversary was Anton Vanko, the Soviet scientist
who invented the original battlesuit. The USSR sent Vanko to battle Iron
Man, but when Tony Stark showed Vanko that the Commies planned to eliminate
him, Vanko defected and became an employee of Stark's! Many other have
taken the name since. This was the latest version of the armor.
Probably the most popular figure of this series, and the most surprising
thing is that it took Toy Biz so long to get to Iron Man's chief armor-wearing
villain. The only puzzler is why they made him with a big hole in his
chest that shoots a fireball. Here's an easy tip to make it look a tad
better on display: put some aluminum foil behind the hole, and it looks
just fine.
