Wizard World Chicago is one of two major summer comic book conventions at which toy companies have on display some of their new collectibles, toys, and action figures. (The other convention being the San Diego Comic Con.)
The 2005 Wizard World Chicago convention runs from August 5 to 7, with a Premiere Night on August 4.
If you are driving to the convention, you may want to park in the parking garage across the street from the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. It costs more than the parking lots down the street, but it has "in and out" privileges, which means that you pay once to park there and can leave with your car (for lunch, dinner, going back to your hotel, etc) and return to park again the same day without paying another parking fee. (Just remember to hold onto the parking receipt!)
