Bleeding Edge & Varner Studios
The Varner in Varner Studios is Steve Varner, a sculptor whose name will be familiar to you if you collect Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Playmates Star Trek, or Mezco's Scary Tales action figures. (He is also sculpting Prozone action figures for Playmates.) Steve has been in the industry for over 20 years.
In 2003, Varner Studios is producing a series of statues called "Fairytale Pinups" - Little Miss Muffett (not shown), Not So Little Mermaid, and Beauty & the Beast. Each of these statues will retail in the $50 price range. For more information on Varner Studios, please visit VarnerStudios.com.
Another new venture for Varner is more of a family affair... Bleeding Edge is a new company with products which have a goth twist. Steve's son Stefan has helped design many of the products from Bleeding Edge:
