Sideshow Toy

Sideshow has four more 12-inch Platoon action figures on the way, although they were not shown. They will be much more limited than the original set (Chris Taylor, Barnes, and Elias) and possibly only available online. The four new figures will probably be Lerner (Johnny Depp), O'Neill, King, and Bunny (Kevin Dillon). (Now we just need Rhah and Big Harold and Tony Todd's Sgt Warren and...)

The 12-inch Creature from the Black Lagoon was not shown - they did have a concept art drawing, but not a prototype. Sideshow is still working on the skin for the Creature, but underneath the skin will be Sideshow's highly-articulated body as a base. An example that was mentioned for the skin was the Wrestler Spider-Man action figure from Toy Biz, so imagine that kind of flexible material over the articulated body. The Creature will ship in August 2003.

The Leatherface action figure will ship in September/October 2003, with a retail price of about $40 USD. The Freddy Krueger figure will ship in August/September, as will the Jason Voorhees figure. Jason's mask can be removed.

Newly announced for 2003 in the Brotherhood of Arms (US Civil War) series are two generals: Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee. Jackson ships in June/July 2003 and Lee follows in October/November 2003. Each will have a price of around $40 USD.

The German Officer is a new figure in the Peter Jackson Collection (World War I). he is due out in September/October 2003, with a price of around $45.

The Doc Holliday figure is the latest addition to the Six Gun Legends series. He is a limited edition of 3,000 and will be shipping in August/September 2003 with a price of around $40.
