HASBRO AND CVS/pharmacy COLLABORATE WITH FOUR INTERNATIONAL CHARITIES TO UNVEIL UNIQUE LINE OF KID-INSPIRED "WISHLINGS" AT TOY FAIR - Operation Smile, Save the Children, Starlight Children's Foundation and World Visionwill benefit from a donation from the purchase of each WISHLINGS plush character

PAWTUCKET, RI, February 16, 2003 -- Hasbro whimsical collection of soft, huggable WISHLINGS plush characters was created from the imagination of a child associated with one of four international charities. The charitable organizations -- OPERATION SMILE, SAVE THE CHILDREN, STARLIGHT CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION and WORLD VISION -- will benefit from a $1 donation from the purchase of each WISHLINGS plush character. These cuddly companions will be sold exclusively at CVS/pharmacy stores nationwide and on www.cvs.com beginning in March.

"We conducted an art contest asking children associated with the charity to create a caring character who could help solve the charity's problem," said Karen Davis, director of the Hasbro Charitable Trust. "The entries we received were truly touching, and we are thrilled with the WISHLINGS plush characters that were created as a result."

Ann Grace Norton of Norfolk, Virginia created her WISHLINGS plush character for OPERATION SMILE when she was 6 years old. She said, "Its name is Glasses. It's 6 years old. It hugs everyone."

Lance from Temple, Texas created "King Hoompa," a little "mouse king with wings who grants wishes and helps kids be happy." Lance was 9 years old when he made his WISHLINGS plush character for SAVE THE CHILDREN.

Jaclyn Damato of Suwanee, Georgia wanted her design, "Stardust," created to support STARLIGHT CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION, to inspire kids to hope that their wishes come true." Jaclyn was 16 years old when she created her WISHLINGS plush characters.

Hattie Straube from Kalamazoo, Michigan created her WISHLINGS plush character at age 6 to help support WORLD VISION. "My doll is so cute, fun, happy and makes me laugh." "It is beautiful for all kids around the world," said Hattie. "The star around the head makes me think of wishes. Wishes you can put in the clear pocket."

"We are pleased to offer Wishlings exclusively at CVS/pharmacy in partnership with Hasbro. Wishlings will make it easy for our customers to support organizations that help kids," said Jennifer Veilleux, Director of Community Relations at CVS.

The approximate retail price for each WISHLINGS plush character is $7.99. WISHLINGS make great Easter basket items and special gifts for kids to give kids for birthdays or other occasions.
