2006
San Diego Comic-Con International
The San Diego Comic-Con International (also known as SDCC and as CCI) is one of two major summer comic book conventions at which toy companies have on display some of their new collectibles, toys, and action figures. (The other convention being Wizard World Chicago.)
The 2006 Comic-Con will be held July 20 to 23, with a preview night on July 19.
At 4:30 on Friday the 21st, RTM is having a "meet and greet" in Room 24A, followed by a casual dinner. (Read more about the meeting and the dinner.)
Several toy companies have caught on to the notion that for every collector who attends the show, there are many more who are at home, waiting for news. Please check their web sites during the show:
- NECA - each day through the 2005 convention, they posted images on their web site about a different prototype that was on display at the convention. Check back with them in 2006, as they will likely be doing this again.
- Sideshow Collectibles - they will have a webcam, live chats, and online giveaways from the convention floor. Be sure check out their site for updates during the convention.
To prepare you for attending the convention, please check out the following pages:
