Not a Star Wars collector but I would like to purchase this guy. eBay prices are insane (many start at ~$200). Wasn't aware this guy is so rare. Can he still be had from an on-line vendor? (specifically the darker color scheme, which I understand is the more common one) Alternatively, does Hasbro have plans to re-issue him, as they often do with Star Wars product?

Just a funny find this past weekend!

I walked through a Dollarama here in Toronto (Canada) and spotted these guys on the pegs:

Anybody actually watch this movie when they were a kid? I remember being 11 and even then I wasn't interested... Looked pretty lame and I'm sure time has not been kind! But to find them on the pegs of a dollar store 15 years after the fact? What a time warp.

So the question is, what's the oldest toy you've found available at "retail" (dollar stores count, right?). Share some pics if you have them!

I have not seen the new Avengers movie, hope to see this weekend but I brought my son to TRU to get him aqauinted with some of the characters of the movie and Marvel Universe. Little did I know there was going to be a HUGE promotion in the store.
The funny part was that the Avengers Movie side of the display only had maybe like 10 figures on one side, and the rest of the display with Iron Man 2 figures,Thor Movie figures and Captain America figures. Funny thing, is that the 3 3/4 figures (iron man, Thor, and Captain America figures) were just on the discounted section not even a month ago, and they were selling for I think around 3 or 4.99. When I scanned the discounted figures from a month ago they ran up for $9.99.
I totally get that the current Iron Man Avengers figures looked very simlar, but wasnt the Iron Man 2 movie from last year. I am glad I snagged a Bucky figure for 3.99 a few months back cause the pegs had all of the non selling Captain America figures for full price.
No sign of the invading Loki army aliens yet.

Finally found some of the Flashpoint wave at the local Kmart (missing the Flash/Freeze one). I have to say that it was a pretty craptacular choice for a lineup (I can see kids being especially disappointed if mom picks up Superman), but then I wasn't a big fan of Flashpoint. I've seen the pics of later waves, including Shazam!, but after having barely found the last couple of waves and not seeing any shelf space in Target or Wal-mart, are these still coming out?

We've seen pics of the basic and the deluxe movie alien figures from the Avengers movie line, but has Hasbro announced whether they'll be part of a 4th wave, or will they be slotted into an already existing assortment?

Also, I've heard mention of a Nick Fury figure being released for the movie series. Have any pics or an announcement been released, or are people just jumping to conclusions?

These were $3.14 for a blind bag of three at TRU today, so I grabbed a single bag.

Got it home, and was happy to see a Thor in there. And then... and then... the boy saw what I had and asked if they were good toys for boys who were five years old. Why yes, yes they are.

So to paraphrase Piggy from Almost Naked Animals: bye-bye cute little Thor toy, see you NEVER.

The other two toys were Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. I'll find them under the couch in a few months.

I don't like the word "hate" as it is a horrible word.

However, after watching a "Pixel Dan" video review of a CC Retaliation figure, I realized how much id DONT like Video reviews, especially ones that cater to the Mfg with an obvious biased feature.

His video quality is good.. but mute it and fast forward 2 minutes in to avoid promos, in depth descriptions of the bubble and a story about how he likes each product, all shared in a ridiculous voice.

Reviews like this really piss me off and make me want to start doing my won more realistic and down to earth reviews.

I purchased a marvel grab zap at tru. Grab Zags are blind packed toys, that can have a mini figure, pen, flashlight................... When I opened the package I got a Storm figure. She's very cool, and made out of a pvc style material. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a code on the package to let you know whats inside in advance. Thank you.
