Expensive for an 8-inch figure, but totally worth it, I think. And how awesome will it be if they come on personalized cards? :b
I saw several of the new Lego LOTR sets at TRU tonight. They had:
Gandalf Arrives - $16.99
Shelob Attacks - $24.99
Uruk-Hai Army - $34.99
Attack on Weathertop - $79.99
I didn't pick up any as these prices are generally $5 or more of what they will be at Wal-Mart and Target. I am hoping they will hit the other retailers soon.
I did grab Monster Fighters 'The Swamp Creature' set.

Will Current Nerf Darts work with Old School Nerf Max Force and Max Force 2112 Dart guns?

Had Mattel officially announced a Dark Knight Rises Alfred figure?
See attached. I grabbed it from Figure of the Day.com since it won't appear on that main page beyond today.
The one big positive I will credit Hasbro with is that they have finally fixed the abominable ball jointed hips that you really had to manipulate to get them to move in all directions. The movie Captain America, Loki and Ultimate Hawkeye I have picked up have good flexibility in moving their legs around. I'd maybe consider upgrading Thor and Iron Man if they were the same. Can any one tell me if the new Thor with no helmet or Mark VII Iron Man are made using those new hips? I can live without ankles if figures can sit or pose their legs easier than the movie figures have been able to do up to now.
I have been scanning the Minimates Forums and saw that the Disney Store Exclusive Avengers 4 Packs are starting to hit...the ones with Kang and Grim Reaper. So I decided to call the only Disney Store we have left here in Central Florida and sure enough they have them out for sale.
They are $19.50 each and they had a good amount of them. Unfortunatley with the Minimates deluge of Wave 44, 45, and TRU Avengers, I could only afford to pick up a set for my son and I. I figured a heads up would be the next best thing for fellow minimate fans. Good Luck!
Is it confirmed who all they're doing? I'd like to get a complete set but only if they complete at least the core four team members.
I see Hulk's coming out soon, and have seen images for Hawkeye (with mask/glasses he never wears in the movie, but oh well) and a Chitauri soldier. Are they doing Cap, Thor, IM and Widow as well? Or do we know? 3 3/4 figures are too small for my liking, but I'd like an Avengers set and can't afford Hot Toys.
This topic has been discussed at many Joe sites and I wanted to share this for those wondering or even those that didn't know about them at all.
There is a set of 6 Hasbro GI Joe figures released on smaller cards, that are currently only available in the Phillippines.
The set consists of:
Snake Eyes: the Blue highlighted version
Storm Shadow: the Ninja Force version
Duke: Greenshirt version with what looks to be ahead sculpt, that would be great for a Cap custom
Cobra Trooper: All black, with silver logo
Cobra Commander: all black with red logo and silver trim sword, sheath and weapons
Shipwreck: basically his look from Valor v Venom wave
These figures are repaints/ reuses of existing parts and molds but look great.
While there has been no official US release date from Hasbro, there is wide speculation that these are set to be released at discount chains such as Family Dollar, Dollar General etc hence the "Dollar Joe" nickname. Again, no specific release date or retailer info has been provided.
Sets of these are available at ebay now and pics are everywhere at all the usual suspect Joe related sites.
