I haven't been hitting the toy aisles much recently due to a lack of time and funds. But I was at a Shopko store yesterday and saw something interesting. A new line of figures in the same vein as MUSCLE men. It looked like each pack had three or four small, unarticulated unpainted figure. Unfortunately I no longer remember the name. Has anyone else seen these?
to start, i'm wildly ignorant when it comes to transformers. all i know is like the classic 80s stuff and i want them in one unified, highly articulated scale. so far, masterpiece(s?) have fit that bill.
but i have no clue what's coming out and whether to bother getting the "custom" stuff if a "real" version is to be released somewhere down the road.
that leads me to soundwave. the new masterpiece is jaw-dropping. this is a legit "real" figure, right? if so, are we expecting this to hit us in a not so punch-in-the-nuts-expensive way? mp is currently $170. if i have to, i'll get it at that price. but i'd prefer not to if it's coming out cheaper.
i'd love some insight.
thanks
At the moment, I have a special hatred of the tiny extras that come with Power Rangers - the little tiny ones that peg into their belts. Our boy takes those off and they are currently in a pile near my bathroom sink, just waiting to be knocked into the drain by a cat.
In general, I think my least favorite accessory was the Playmates Star Trek phaser that had the energy beam coming out of it. Those just never looked right to me. I think I disliked those even more than the neon-colored accessories that you'd sometimes end up with.
Zandor, yes, Zandor of Herculoids fame is being sold through a Japanese company in the 3 3/4 format. Yes, I know that the Herculoids were sold in three assortments; a human with a monster in each, but those were pricey!
BBTS has Zandor for $14.99! Color me: there.
In this first wave, they are also doing several of the more "silly" cartoon characters in the same scale, like Scooby and Flintstones. But here's hoping we see Birdman, Blue Falcon, Mightor, and the rest of the Hanna Barbera adventure characters in the line.

Looks like he's been up several hours and there's still some available.
Just wanted to drop a quick note to say I saw some of these at TRU, and they want $24.99 each for them!!!
$25 for a figure?!
Forget it.
Saw these at Comic-con, thought I'd complete the set. But now...
NO WAY!
I'm seeing them on Ebay for ridiculous prices. (Artemis = $90)
Have these been released to retail? Or are these from factories or overseas or review copies or whatever?
Thanks for any info!
Hope this doesn't disrupt the remaining waves being released.
