Sorry if this has been discussed before. I used to be a rabid action figure collector, before dropping out a few years ago due to money/space issues. I just popped into a TRUS to check out the scene. OMG! Marvel Legends are now $21.99?? The 3.75" Marvel figures are $9.99?? That's insane! NECA figures used to be $9.99 are now $17.49.

What happened?? I understand inflation, but 2X in a few years? How are collectors able to keep up? I would have thought that prices like these would be the death knell for toys...

This boxset was one of those "this costs how much?!" DCUC purchases I pa$$ed over when they first hit the (Walmart) shelves. There's nothing I like better than getting an entire team in one boxset, and these slightly obscure figures were more than simple repaints, but I'm glad I waited until these guys were discounted a bit.

I also passed on almost all the DCD versions of these guys...except for Johnny Quick. (I'm a sucker for red...or vac-metal...plastic.) I almost picked up that old DCD Owlman, just for his camp value...sometimes I wish I had.

The reviews on OAFE say it all. This is a better-than-average boxset. The "dark" Owlman is a great figure...maybe Best of the Box...I like him better than the "accurate" paintjob they had planned at one point. The more modern Johnny Quick is..wonderfully...red. What in the world is Power Ring's emblem supposed to connote? Even Super Woman impresses me more than earlier DCUC sculpts of female figures. At least SW can remain standing (on heels) unassisted!

(I did fix SW up with a golden lariat from my parts box...would it have killed them to have included this accessory?)

I'll be taking some pics over the weekend, but I really like the repaint here. Usually the repaints are rather drab and a way to fill a slot, but I have to say this one is really cool.

I picked up both Batman & Flash at BBTS for $19.99 each. They were in stock as of yesterday.

The only new DC figure I have seen at retail was one lone Superboy Prime that I found at a TRU Express at Garden State Plaza a few weeks back and I think that was only because God was rewarding me for taking my wife to the largest, busiest, most annoying Mall in NJ during the holiday Season.

Hi, I have twins who are 6 and want a slot racetrack. I've looked a the Mario Brothers, which I know they would love, but it got good and bad reviews. Does anyone have this? If not what is a good one? I have around 100 to spend. Thanks for your help. Speed Buggy

While trying to track down a lot of different toys and christmas gifts over the past month, there is one thing that is clear in Central Florida: There is no shortage of SW Angry Birds Toys and no one appears to be buying them. I saw a Hasbro rep try and over stock an endcap of these toys at Walmart to only giveup because the toys kept falling over. I asked him where the SW Vintage, Marvel Legends, and MU Figures were and he said he hasn't a case of either in a month or more. I also saw SW AB in Tj Maxx, which tells you that someone is concerned about being stuck with this garbage long term. Nice job Hasbro, maybe you can put together a quick holiday bundle, wrap a Phantom Menace Vintage Figure to a SW Angry Bird set and call it the Angry Turd Special Value Set.

I'm looking for an appraisal of a Buck Rogers Atomic Disintegrator Cap Gun, made in the USA by the Hubley Mfg Company in Lancaster, PA, circa 1954. Excellent working condition, no box. TIA.

I've always wanted a true, G1 Megatron and once I saw this 3rd party version I jumped on it. The reviews were great and rightfully so.. This is more of a definitive g1 version than even mp Megs.

I know several of us are tf fans and just wanted to give a solid thumbs up. Just took the plunge in the TFC Hercules aka Devastator after finding it for a great price. Really been loving tfs lately.
