When I first saw Skylanders figures in store, I thought "Those are neat. NEVER going to catch on though, I'll pick some up on clearance."
I was way off obviously.
As I watched my nephew tear open figure after figure during Christmas, I wondered why no one has copied that format, game then all these accessory add ons. Pokemon seems like an obvious choice, but I'd be in trouble if they ever did Marvel or DC that way.
I did expect a larger, bulkier figure than the rest, but he towers over the group. I guess Mattel figured that for $30, we'd want a giant, BAF type size, but I'd gladly pay that amount for a correctly scaled version.
.
I saw these at the grocery store.
I really didnt notice one toy in particular that was the "have to have it" and buy it for a riduclous amounts online. I must be out of the loop this year of what the toy was. I dont think it was the return of Furby or the Ninteno Wii U...there were plenty of them on the shelves where I live.
This year I was into getting the Mega Bloks Skylanders toys for my son. Those sets were really cool. And since he loves Legos and Skylanders, it will be a hit around this house from Santa.

I finally got around to opening mine and holy s**t is it a pain in the neck to get to stand. I think we may have finally crossed a line where a toy company got too realistic with the articulation. Too many joints and a top heavy head=constantly hearing a "thump" from my table.
Mockingbird will be release, or suppose to be realeased with Hawkeye and I believe with War Machine...its suppose to be the West Coast Avengers Marvel Univere 3 pack.
Anyone have pics of how she will look, I am hoping for the more modern version...

So I just read the early access for sub owners will NOT include the monthly 2013 figures, just old stock. Is my memory failing me or was an early crack at monthly 2013 figures some of the chum Matty promised potential sub holders as a benefit of signing up? Admittedly I may be remebering incorrectly, but I was fairly certain early crack at the 2013 sub figures was promised because I seem to recall the backlash of fans at the time and the Matty threat that figures like Ram man may not even be available for non sub holders by the time the 15th sale started. Thanks to anyone who can set the record straight.
Can anybody point me to a few places online?
Thanks. =)
Noticed last night that the new Series 3 Marvel Legends Iron Man is $5. The other suggested toys revealed that many of the newest wave or internet exclusive wave figures for Star Wars Vintage are $3 as well. The gungan warrior is one of them... so you could army build for little money. X
