Vote for the 2013 Transformers Hall of Fame Fans' Choice Nominees

We can send in our top five choices for the 2013 Transformers Hall of Fame Fan's Choice characters.

Quote:
In 2010, Hasbro founded its TRANSFORMERS Hall of Fame, honoring humans and robots that have left an everlasting mark on the world of toys, entertainment and CYBERTRON during the past nearly 30 years of “ROBOTS IN DISGUISE” action. Now in its fourth year, Hasbro is once again turning to fans to help select two Fans’ Choice robot inductees to make up the class of 2013!

List your character suggestions in this thread, and then next Thursday night (the 30th) I'll send in our list of five!

Any hope for Iron Man 3 Marvel Universe villians?

After finally seeing the Iron Man movie, I was hoping that the Marvel Universe figures 3 3/4 figures would get some villains.
So any chance of any more Iron Man 3 figures besides the connect a Iron Man figures.

I am hoping there will be another version of the Iron Patriot figure, for my Marvel Universe figures? Does anyone know if there are going to be any planned? I assume maybe after the movie hits to DVD/Blu Ray that there might be a chance, however with a Wolverine movie and a Thor Movie, I assume there will be some figures for those movies, really hoping that there will be a build an army of bad guys for the Thor Movie, 3 3/4 size.

Did anyone see the Deadpool 3 exclusive pictures that wandered onto the net? That was an awesome surprise, I assume it will be a convention piece of some kind

Transformers: A great time to be a Bot Fan!

I've never been more into Transformers than I am now...

While Hasbro has indeed stepped up their game with new figures such as Blitzwing and Springer and Masterpiece editions, 3rd Party companies such as Fansproject, MC, Toyworld and I Gear are absolutely KILLING it with their versions of these classic characters.

Is anyone else loving the 3rd Party products right now?

I haven't bought one Superhero or Joe figure in months!

Star Trek Figures: Best versions?

I checked Bobbi's reviews of the Select versions...are there definitive versions of both classic and the new Abram's versions of the characters?

"Into Darkness" was absolutely amazing and I have come to realize how much I like Star Trek as a franchise, yet have nothing to represent in my collection.

I'm looking for fully articulated versions of Kirk, Spock, Scotty, Bones and crew and need your opinion as to best sculpt and articulation. Scale is of no concern..just looking for the above traits.

Thanks Buzz!

Play Arts Kai Dark Knight Batman: anyone else have QC issues? Swift??

I was eagerly awaiting the arrival and....he shows up with a glop of flesh colored paint or some sort of scuff on his nose.

I'm dejected and sad as I paid $65 for a higher caliber and quality and am wondering if anyone else had this issue.

Been crazy the last few months, but I'll be back again regularly Buzz. (not that anyone notices or cares, but I feel obliged to say so:)

Swift: where is your review??

server malfunction - we might be missing a few forum replies

No clue what happened, but our hosting company migrated us because the old hostmachine went bad overnight.

Their most recent uncorrupted backup was May 14th, so they got us that far, and then I was able to restore a backup I had from late Monday night.

I'd like to thank everyone for their patience, and apologize for the inconvenience - I see that we are missing a few replies here in the forum, the newsletter subscribers got a newsletter they saw last week, and several folks got "new forum post" subscription emails that they had already received last week.

Anyone able to help me out with 2 of the SDCC exclusives? The easy to grab ones? LOL

I'm just hunting for the DCC Arkham Hugo Strange, and Green Lantern set.

Any help would be appreciated and handsomely rewarded!

thanks!

3D printing an action figure

I hope this qualifies as toy topic but I thought some of you guys might find this interesting especially the customizers among you.
I recently got into 3D printing and I was wondering how far I could take the functionality of my models. This is my first attempt at a figure with proper “action figure” articulation. It worked out pretty well. It basically works like a snap together model kit. It has about 30 points of articulation. I had to do some sandpapering in order to make everything fit together but that is something one should expect when 3D printing. The figure holds firmly together and all the joints have a nice range of motion. The seam lines are a little bit big but I believe that has more to do with the resolution of my printer then the 3D file. The figure is about 7 inches tall. It has a couple of swapable hands and the weapons can be stored on the back of the figure.
The figure is called Dan Generiko and he is a hero in an apocalyptic world where genetically enhanced humans wage war against humans who have given up their natural bodies for robotic ones. Dan protects the ordinary humans who are caught in the middle of the fighting of the two factions.

Any sign of the new Star Trek Hotwheels?

Like the subject line asks, has any one seen any sign of the new (larger) Star Trek Hotwheels? I'm looking for the 1:64 scale one too, but I think that the 1:50 scale ones will be much easier to find.
Especially looking forward to the USS Kelvin, but I'm happy to see ships that only had a limited release (TOS Enterprise, NX-01 Enterprise, and the Nerada) will now be available to the mass market.
If any one sees these on the shelves, please give a shout. Thanks.

A quick addition: just found this on another thread at another site.

Hotwheels not only added the new adversary ship from Into Darkness, but also a new Klingon Bird of prey ship. Check 'em out!

Any word on...Man of Steel Movie Masters questions

Aside from the boilerplate "Stay Tuned" response, has Mattel mentioned;

-when to expect the Faora/Armored Gen. Zod wave in stores?
-whether the Superman w/Command Ring, and General Zod w/Shackles are Toys R Us exclusives?

I find it odd that they're not really pushing the PR on this or ANY Man of Steel product on MattyCollector (well, aside from the SDCC exclusive Movie Masters "box").
