Toy Biz had several prototypes on hand for their upcoming Avengers line, based on the new animated series debuting this season on Fox Kids. The new series gives it's own distinctive spin to the Avengers and the Marvel Universe they live in, and this toyline reflects that - much to the dismay of some hardcore comics fans. However, should the line (and tv series) perform well the chances of seeing comic-styled Avengers figures in the future looks good.
There were several Famous Covers figures on display in the booth as well, including the Diamond Exclusive Magneto, Cyclops, Rogue and Nightcrawler. Each was greatly improved over the original prototypes originally shown at Toy Fair. Also shown were Famous Covers of Sabretooth and Gambit (both shown here). Sabretooth's costume will change, to reflect his original costume.
When asked about the future of Famous Covers during the RTM Action Figure Industry Roundtable panel on Saturday, Toy Biz's Jesse Falcon stated the line was performing well and will continue in the future! Good news for the throngs of rabid Famous Covers fans!

There were several World Championship Wrestling items on display as well, although no real surprises. Toy Biz continues to have big plans with 2000 being a massive year for the company with both the WCW and Marvel licenses (thanks to the two animated series) being in full swing.
