McFarlane Toys had a dazzyling booth at the San Diego Comic Con, with a variety of their upcoming lines on display. Fans were given a glimpse at such upcoming lines as Beatles Yellow Submarine, Movie Maniacs 2, Sleepy Hollow and TechnoSpawn.

McFarlane Toy Club director Chet Jacques, of course, was on hand as well offering a look at the prototype for the next all-new club exclusive figure, Terry Fitzgerald.

McFarlane Toys' own Steve Hamady (aka Steve The Victim) hosted a question and answer panel on Friday afternoon. Some items of note that came out of that panel:

• McFarlane Toys has tripled in size over the past year!
• The previously announced Ratfink line is on the verge of being cancelled.
• Pinhead remains under consideration for the Movie Maniacs line, if licensing issues can be resolved.
• The future of the Movie Maniacs line looks bright. Look for more assortments in the future.
• The direct market only comic line will continue. The first three (Marv, Dawn and Danger Girl) were an experiment; a successful one. Look for another figure of Marv from Frank Miller's Sin City in the future. Hamady described this figure as "very interesting". Dawn was Diamond's highest ordered single figure, and Danger Girl is their highest order figure assortment.
• A second series of Metal Gear Solid is "a possibility", as is a line based on the new Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions game. Konami (maker of the MGS video game) is so jazzed about the possibilities that they want to send their designers out to McFarlane Toys offices and work with the McStaff to develop the new figures.
• There will be more music-based figures. Already figures are in the works for Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin.
