Vampirella

Folks who stop by the Moore booth had the opportunity to win a fully-painted Giles prototype that was given away by actor Anthony Head, who portrays the evil-combating librarian on the hit WB series, in a drawing held on Saturday, July 22 at 2:00pm.

A fully-painted Ozprototype was also on July 22 at Entertainment Earth's booth.

MAC is also offering the chance to pre-order unpainted test shots of Oz and Giles only at the summer conventions, and through the Moore Collectors Society.

MAC heads to the future with Futurama, based on the series created by Simpsons mastermind Matt Groening. Four figures comprise the first series: Fry, Leela, Bender and the spaceship. Futurama action figures will be in stores this November.

M.A.C. also had their action figure based on The Darkness, from the Top Cow comic of the same name, on display. Fans looking forward to this excellent figure are going to have to wait a bit, as the release is now scheduled for February 2001.

Heavy Metal 2000 figures will be released in August. The regular single carded series features 3 different editions of Julie Strain's character: Regular Julie, Holyland Julie (comes with regular Zeek figure), and Camo Julie (comes with Armored Zeek. There will also be a 2 pack of Julie and the villainous Lord Tyler, and a 4 pack (exclusive to Tower Records) featuring all three Julies and Lord Tyler. Lord Tyler will not be offerd singly, but only in the 2 pack and 4 pack sets.

Moore Creations is offering up a few mini-busts from various comic book properties. The first two up are Scarab from David Mack's critically-acclaimed Kabuki series and Katchoo from Terry Moore's award-winning Strangers in Paradise series.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas with a wide variety of Christmas ornaments as only Moore can make them. Now you can hang Witchblade, Lady Death, Godzilla, the Darklings and more from your tree - or display them all year 'round.
