Is NEW Marvel Legends a REBOOT not just a continuation?

I hope Hasbro's NEW Marvel Legends is a REBOOT with OLD figures being RESCULPTED in addition to NEW characters! Scarlet Witch needs an update for example! CLASSIC should be represented in new ML!

I think they are revisiting ones that ones that people were disappointed with. For instance, they've shown a prototype of a new Emma Frost. So Scarlett Witch seems like a natural fit for a version 2 as well. For the most part, they seem to mostly be focusing on unproduced characters or versions of characters.

I think that they should re-do ones that they really F'd up (Emma, Scarlet Mitch, etc).

Beyond that, I would hope that they continue to stay focused on characters that they have not yet made in the 6" scale.

They are off to a pretty decent start so - hopefully - it does not get messed up (NO exclusives, no 1 chase per every 10 cases, hiring back the people responsible for the initial 3 Hasbro series, etc.)

where was the new prototype shown? i know they had a pic of what emma SHOULD have looked like with a proper paint app, but it wasn't a new sculpt.

GlobalDomination, you are correct, the Emma they showed at SDCC was a repainted 2007 version. They did announce at that time that there would be a resculpted one sometime down the road but no pics yet.

While this would be the death of me, there are many figures I would like to see be redone.

However, some will never be topped...

Four Horsemen 6" Apocalypse and BAF versions and their Amazing 238 style Hobgoblin still set the bar almost 10 years later.

I would have said Ultron would be a prime candidate, but it looks like Select has more or less nailed exactly what I wanted from an Ultron figure. I can live with him being "7 feet" tall.

I wouldn't mind seeing a new Storm (Paul Smith Mohawk look? Or Jim Lee X-men team w/short hair? Joe Mad costume?). Tho I'd like it if they used different costumes- maybe do a Scarlet Witch in the early Jack Kirby design of her costume?

Wow, excellent topic. I would love to see a new Hawkeye to tie in to the Avengers movie and to make up for the ridiculously unobtainable original ML. Yeah also, "Scarlett Mitch," LOL! Another movie tie-in. Hey, so many years ago, but still that "Scarlett Mitch Saga" was something in and (obviously) of "it"self. Remember how the secondary market price on the originally hard to find "Mitch" singles went through the roof and then when they trickled down to we underlings how the "holy crap what is this bearded woman?" sent the values tumbling? Grand times. So, yeah, a proper Marvel Legends Scarlett Witch, please! Tongue

A proper Scarlet Witch, passable Mandarin, Classic Ultron, Silver Age Black Panther, a more metallic Annhilus, 1st App Storm would all get my $.

I'm not planning on buying too many new Marvel Legends, but I'll probably buy any of the females they produce as they seem to be better sculpts. Also, I may get some 80's or 90's X-Men, but I already have tons from the Toy Biz days that I no longer display. If I got into the new series, I'd need to get those out again and I don't have the shelf room for it.

I would love to see a 1st Appearance Storm (as it was sculpted) as well as Northstar and Aurora (also sculpted). And a Paul Smith mohawk Storm would be AWESOME!

Saw one lone Iron Man at Walmart. It rang up 15.44 for those interested.

I have passed on all ML so far except for Commander Rogers and Captain America Bucky.

They look good, but at $16-20 each I just can't collect them like I used to.

Hopefully, I won't miss any BAF's that I'd like.

I hope it means they're redoing every female.

yeah, the females have never seen proper treatment in the ML line thus far.

I'm really psyched about the new body style. They seem really sturdy, easily posed and realistic.
